Services
Ellensburg Canyon is a Winery with an onsite Estate vineyard located in the Eastern part of the Columbia Valley AVA. The Yakima River Canyon boasts some the most unique terroir in the state of Washington, with significant slope for cold drainage and sun exposure, loamy soil with volcanic ash that adds minerality and complexity, and frequent winds that help to promote flavonoid development in the grape skins.
Made in the Kabinett style, the lightest style of Riesling. A refreshing white perfect for drinking on the patio. Well-balanced minerality and crisp acidity make this a great wine for food, pairing beautifully with fresh-caught trout, roasted chicken, and Summer salads. It's our go-to with hard-to-pair spicy dishes.
The red wine drinker's white wine, this unique 'white' is made from red Cabernet Franc grapes. Made with a whole cluster press, we then pull the juice off the skins to ferment in neutral oak barrels. The resulting wine provides a unique taste profile of what a red wine will taste like when you drop out the tannins.

Fantastic experience tasting. Quaint little tasting room, indoors due to the 100+ heat. Jason the owner was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Would come back.

Beautiful canyon views and location. Wines are mostly sweet, although a couple were less so. Lovely port wines, great Riesling, and very interesting white cab franc-- very unusual! Highly recommend the short drive out of Ellensburg.

The drive up to the winery seemed a bit deserted, although I haven’t been to many wineries so that might be the case with all of them. The guy was awesome and super friendly! Great view and the wine is really good. Definitely worth the drive.

I had a wonderful experience here! I'm from out of state and stopped on a whim while driving through. Gary was working in the vineyard when I pulled up, but he stopped immediately to greet me and treat me to his tasty wines and his knowledge of the area. The wines were delicious; I'm not normally a fan of Rosé, but the Rosé here was surprisingly delicious. I wasn't expecting a taste of the hard apple cider as well. I left with a cold can of apple cider and a bottle of my favorite wine from the tasting (the ice wine port) to share with friends. I wish I could have bought more. I'm very happy I

The view is nice but that is all I can say about this winery. Even though wine maker claims that he has been making wine for 15+ years, or I think 20+ years, the wines were really not that good. More over, I think the wine maker needs to know that when you are charging $7 for wine tasting, the standard tasting pour size is 2 to 3 ounces but I didn't even get one ounce of pour at this winery. Having traveled all over for wines, never have I had such a small pour. At any winery the pour size should be at least two sips, so that with first sip you clear the palate from previous pour and the second

Unique little boutique winery that is absolutely worth the stop. The whites are this owner's specialty. Including a white cabernet and an out of this world white ice wine. The drive along the canyon is also beautiful but beware is veeery curvey-windy.
