From I-90 Exit 115, head South. At the dead end turn right onto Thrall Road. About 3 miles, turn left onto Dodge Road and the first driveway to the right. From I 82, take exit 3, head East about 3 minutes to Dodge Road, Turn Right, and right into first driveway. The address is 111 Dodge Road. Thrall & Dodge Winery is the oldest farm winery in the Kittitas Valley located north of the Yakima Valley near Ellensburg.
We produce premium wines grown, made, cellared, and bottled all from the Columbia Valley AVA. Located South of Ellensburg and just east of the Yakima River, the Thrall & Dodge Winery is perched on Manastash Ridge 1500 ft level near the intersection of Boylston and Saddle Mountains. This scenic area is known as the fruit basket of Kittitas Valley with plenty of other vineyards and orchards around.

Everything! Winemaker Troy’s well rounded selection, especially the Malbec & Semillon were excellent. Their vineyard has a large outdoor area for live music with a warm cozy atmosphere. Customer service &… knowledge by Wine Manager Kimberly was top notch. Highly recommend making Thrall & Dodge a favored stop plus joining their club.

Tasting is presently by appointment only at the winery at Thrall and Dodge (the roads that form the north and east boundaries of their property). We were the only guests (that's the way it goes with the appointment system), so we didn't get the full social experience. The grounds look very nice for a picnic, music, and socializing, but in Sept. 2020, the smoke was so thick outside we stayed in the tasting room. We showed up for a tasting at 11:00 AM and were there for a couple pleasant hours (we brought a charcuterie and had lunch). The wines were great and we had a fun time hearing stories

Went by on a warm Sunday afternoon at the beginning of May and noticed that the surrounding businesses were essentially closed as one might expect in a rural farm town. There is a certain charm and beauty to the collective recognition of the old school day of rest.
Went into the wine tasting room in the center of town to find a very classy ambience that rivaled any of the modern and more bustling tasting rooms in Woodinville (at least on Sundays).
But wait, there's more! Fabulous reds! Could not find one that we didn't love!
But wait, there's still more! The bottles are

A great little winery. We were staying in the room above the winery, so of course we were going to come down and check it out. Reasonable tasting fee, but you'll never pay it. It's waved with a $20 purchase, about the price of a bottle. Easy, the wine is quite good! The vinter, Troy, has been making wine since he was in junior high, and it shows. The syrah was my fave, but my wife says I'm wrong. She said I made more "mmm"ing sounds with the Tractor Red. Solid recommendation.

The Thrall and Dodge is a friendly place to go for wine tasting! The owners and winemakers Troy and Kim are warm and friendly and happy to talk wine while pouring. They offer tasty appetizers to enjoy with a glass of their delicious wine. We loved the relaxed atmosphere. Put this one on your list of places to stop!
