Gretna Animal Clinic is celebrating our 27th year during 2021! As we celebrate 27 wonderful years, we hope to include our great clients and patients in many different ways! We are a full service veterinary clinic located in the historic, railroad town of Gretna, VA. Services
We are a full service veterinary clinic located in the historic, railroad town of Gretna, VA. Our building is over 100 years old and started out as a livery stable, complete with a blacksmith shop! We strive to keep the historic charm of our building while providing up to date medical equipment and services for our patients!
We recommend annual physical exams for your pet! This is to ensure that your pet is receiving the best medical attention available to maintain a long and healthy life. Vaccinations are also very important in keeping your pet healthy. Certain vaccinations are not only important for protecting your pet, but are also required by law (Rabies vaccinations).
Our staff is made up of a wonderful group of people! Each person adds a little something unique to our clinic and as a result, we have a great team that works well together and strives to make your pet's health care our top priority. Dr. Robert Hooke is a 1979 graduate of Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbus.
Boarding your pet came be stressful. We understand that and strive to make the boarding process less stressing to both pet and owner! Our kennel has both cages and runs for our canine company. Our kitty guests enjoy a quiet vacation in "Cheddar's Room" named in memory of our original mascot, a yellow tabby named Cheddar!

I love taking my Boston Terrier Ruger to them they are always super friendly and explain everything where I can understand it. She just had surgery the doctor was great kept me informed about everything she's all healed up now and wide-open ready to run Ruger loves it there and is always happy to see them
