After almost a decade of serving the western suburbs I know that there is little that Acupuncture can not help. Point of Health Acupuncture has built it's name over the years by listening to our patients and blending the most current Medical Acupuncture and old world Chinese Medicine into one cohesive treatment.
There is more than one type of Headache or Migraine that a patient can suffer from. Chinese Medicine not only address the pain, but it also addresses the cause for long-lasting relief. Acupuncture is proven to be extremely effective in treating PTSD, anxiety, stress, panic disorders, and Depression with long-lasting results.
States vary in their laws and regulations regarding who can perform Acupuncture. In Illinois our laws are not as clearly defined as they should be. You may be surprised to find out that anyone who, within their scope of practice is allowed to put a needle in a body, may be able to "do Acupuncture" on you.
On your first visit, we assess your individual state of health-including body, mind, and spirit--through a comprehensive intake and physical exam. Chinese physical exam incorporates tongue and pulse diagnosis as well as palpation of acupuncture points. We combine a traditional Chinese exam with a complete health history, to develop a holistic impression that will guide your treatment.
Acupuncture may be covered by your insurance. If you would like to use your insurance coverage, please inquire prior to your first visit. Point of Health Acupuncture will provide you with documentation to assist you in obtaining reimbursement from your insurance company for your acupuncture treatment, however payment is required at the time of service.

I had been treating arm, shoulder wrist pain with a steroid. When that stopped working, I was looking for an alternative when I read a review from someone with similar issues that had tried acupuncture with Gary at Point of Health. He was willing to see me the same day, and the result was pretty miraculous. My pain/numbness and limited range of motion were gone that day. Not forever, I do the therapy exercises and continued to see him for about a month. Because of Point of Health, I have never missed a day of work, and I have been able to avoid surgery. I highly recommend them!

I was in so much pain with my back and leg. I have never tried acupunture before, but after seeing a chiropractor and getting massages with little help, I was desperate. After the first visit I felt relief in my back/leg. I'm so happy I found Gary, each visit my pain gets less. And now my pain in now zero, and I haven't felt this good in years. Highly recommend.

Gary is someone you need to know... If you are looking for a great pain remedy or a relaxing escape from the stress of life, make an appointment. Let me be the 1st to explain the true experience. I was shot at 16 and my femur was replaced. Going on 30 I am in an immense amount of pain. Gary is Vicodin without the side effects. I can play with my kids and sleep at night. My mood is IMMEDIATELY better once I leave his office. When I get crabby, my wife sais " you need to see Gary ". Please at least try it for yourself and hopefully it will help you, as it has honestly changed my life. He is a phenomenal

Over a year ago I suffered a back injury playing sports. I attended physical therapy for weeks and had multiple chiropractor visits. My back and the pain seemed to be better. Unfortunately, Sciatica is no joke when your job has you sitting for most of the day. That along with daily activities seemed to aggravate my back causing pain more often than not. I found Point of Health Acupuncture and despite my fear that the needles would hurt I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly mistaken. The clinic was very calming and the acupuncturist Gary Pecho was very understanding about the pain I was experiencing

I have been a client/patient of Point of Health since the summer of 2017. I originally sought out Gary's help for fertility, as I am not getting any younger!! Within 3 months of weekly acupuncture, my husband and I received our positive pregnancy test!!
I am a true believer in the power of fertility acupuncture and I recommend Gary to any and all women who need an extra boost during an extremely stressful time! I have continued my treatments with Gary throughout my pregnancy, as he has helped me with sinus issues and pregnancy related carpel tunnel (the worst!!). I plan to continue my treatments

I came to Point of health acupuncture and this was the first time i have ever had acupuncture and i have to say it was a great experience . The overall environment was calming and inviting , i did not know what to expect but after speaking with the Gary he made me feel more open and encouraged to make a change . Great Acupuncturist! Takes time to really understand what your physical issues are. I had severe sinus problems (really needed medication) however, walked out of this office actaully being able to breathe! If you want someone who actaully cares and wants to see you get better GO HERE! I would recommend him to anyone!

I had been looking for an Acupuncturist in the Western Suburbs for quite some time. I was very excited to find Point of Health located in Downers Grove.
At my first appointment, Gary spent quite a long time evaluating my condition. He honestly seemed anxious to help me.
I went because my feet were hurting. After two treatments, I am feeling much better. My feet hardly hurt at all. I am anxious to have them work on my other problems.
I have also met with Ann who was equally has helpful.

Both Ann and Gary are very professional, thorough and detail-oriented in their work. All that coupled with their warm and friendly demeanor make me feel that they have a genuine concern for my well-being. Their treatments and guidance have significantly helped reduce my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome symptoms that have recently flared up. I would definitely recommend paying them a visit if you are a fan of alternative medicine.
