I didn't just want to become a principal, I wanted to become a principal at a high school where I could focus on the importance of character, where I could instill hope in the lives of young adults and help them break barriers that interfere with high school graduation. My responsibility extends past our school walls.

ALTA VISTA is THRILLED to announce that we are on our second year of a 3-YEAR GRANT by the AdviseAZ mentorship program!
Alta Vista High School utilizes a unique block schedule system. We offer four blocks during the regular school year. Each block is approximately 45 days long with Block 4 being 47 days long. During each block, the student takes three or more courses. At the end of the block, the earned credit is applied to the transcript.
