Northeast Solar has been designing and installing solar out of our Hatfield office for over ten years. Solar technology has changed a lot in that time, but we've always stayed true to our core values that put the customer experience front and center. We're working for sustainable homes and sustainable communities by bringing the latest green technologies to clients all over the Pioneer Valley.
You probably drive by our solar installations everyday, but there is much more to Northeast Solar than what you see on your neighbor's roof. We work under the roof as well, from general electrical contracting to mini-split installations and off-grid, backup battery systems that keep your home up and running should the grid go down.
Our homes are as unique as the people who live in them. From school and work to family movie nights, so much of what we do today revolves around the home. More than just a place to live, home is the place we turn to for safety, security, and connectedness. We're focused on the consultation, not the sale.
Solarizing your business is a sure way to lower your expenses and save money through energy savings, tax credits and by stabilizing long-term energy costs. We've helped businesses all over the Valley go solar - from Fly By Night, a furniture retailer, to Coopers Corner and State Street Market, local grocery stores in Florence and Northampton.

I was referred to Northeast Solar by a co-worker on a good recommendation, and they sure lived up to that. Before I knew exactly what I wanted, I spoke to Tom Kelley on the phone who was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, without any sort of pressure sales stuff. They sent a detailed plan (actually a few options) after analyzing my solar situation, and were quick to revise once I decided I wanted to go even bigger.
Their communication was excellent throughout the whole process - explaining the paperwork and inspections needed (they took care of all that), and then keeping me informed

We bought our solar array from Northeast Solar (Hatfield) as part of the Solarize Belchertown group. Beginning with our initial contact with Northeast Solar and throughout the installation, the process was easy and straight forward. Zach met with us to size the system and explain everything. He made it very easy to understand. NE Solar took care of all of the paperwork with National Grid and the SMART program. The installers (Chris and Jeff) were great workers and very respectful. They did a nice job of hiding the electrical conduits coming down the side of the house. We highly recommend them.

Northeast Solar was absolutely wonderful. We had them install solar panels five years ago and it was an easy and pleasant process. They are very skilled and knowledgeable; Rusty did an excellent job of informing us about the process, from details about the system to the ins and outs of the tax credits that were available. It was a delight to work with a small local business that is doing such good work. We cannot recommend Northeast Solar highly enough for all your solar needs!

Our solar system went "live" this past Friday and I need to say that this has been one of the best experiences I have had with any company. From the first informational meeting we attended through completion of the project, Northeast Solar communicated every step of the way. Questions were answered clearly, without tech-speak, their estimates were transparent, and we always knew when they would be on site and what they would be doing (especially appreciated during the COVID quarantine). We had a great experience with Northeast Solar from start to finish. Design work was done during spring/summer 2018, and the arrays went live in mid-September 2018. All the work was done professionally, and there was very good communication and feedback with the Northeast Solar team. It is now late July 2019 and the system has been exceeding expectations. No problems at all, I haven't had to pay an electric bill since March, and I'm well on my way to being net zero energy consumption thanks to this PV system. I would strongly recommend Northeast Solar to any homeowner looking to add a PV system
