Aqua Turf International, Inc. is an international irrigation consulting, design and GPS mapping firm founded in 1996 by Jim Schumacher. Irrigation solutions are provided internationally with quality turf and golf course playability as the primary goals, as well as economic and environmental responsibility.
Mr. Schumacher draws from over thirty-five years of experience in golf maintenance and construction. During his career Mr. Schumacher has served as a Certified Golf Course Superintendent, Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation, and a member of the PGA of America - Dixie Section. Mr. Schumacher is member of the American Society of Irrigation Consultants (ASIC) and the Irrigation Association (IA) and is a Certified Texas Irrigator.

Jim Schumacher functions as company President while managing the Bangkok, Thailand office. He founded Aqua Turf International in 1996 after a diverse and successful career in golf. He developed his love for golf as a teenager, and was the 1974 Arkansas State High School Golf Champion. As a result, he chose to make golf his career and prepared with a Bachelor of Science degree in Turfgrass Management from Mississippi State University.

In the early 80's, Jim Schumacher was one of the pioneers of computer irrigation in parks and recreation. That experience combined with Trevor Holman's landscape construction knowledge and Sean Hyduk's landscape architecture has helped ATI become a leader in commercial irrigation applications serving the largest developers in Florida including Centex Homes, Pulte Homes, Lennar Homes, WCI and LandMar.
The best irrigation design is only as good as the installation AND operation of the system. It is extremely important to protect the owners' investment by having the designer included during the purchase, layout and installation of the system. Pre-construction review of the plan and training assists the contractor by reviewing the design intent, installation specifications, delivered materials and unique project requirements.
