I live in Westminster, MD (if you're not familiar it's a town west of Baltimore and north of Washington D.C.) with my wonderful husband Gordon, and our hilarious corgi named Tess.I love people, big laughs, and deep conversations, and I think I fell in love with photography because it often involves all three of those.

Located in historic downtown Westminster, MD, the studio is where we meet clients for ordering appointments and consultations, teach mentoring sessions and workshops, and photograph studio portraits! It's easy to access from both Rt. 140 (via N. Center Street) and Main Street, and is conveniently around the corner from both Dunkin' Doughnuts and Starbucks if you're addicted to coffee like me.
Mary is extremely personable, genuine, fun, enthusiastic, and most importantly passionate about her work; her passion radiates and is actually contagious! During our engagement session, Mary made us feel comfortable. We did not feel awkward around her and we were able to simply be ourselves; which she embraced.
The photography was the easiest part of wedding planning for me and I know that's because I had Mary Brunst as my photographer. She is organized, knowledgeable and so passionate about what she does. From picking out my package to the big day, everything was perfect and stress free. My favorite part about her is that she has this very special gift to make everyone and anyone feel comfortable.
My photo shoot with Mary Brunst Photography was so wonderful. I really enjoyed our time together, as she is easy to talk to and so friendly. She also provides enough direction and recommendations throughout the shoot so you feel like you know what you're doing. She got the photos edited and sent so quickly!

This review is a year overdue! Mary did our wedding December 5, 2020...in the midst of when planning our wedding we thought we'd be done with the pandemic. If you are having the difficult choice of photographers, look no more! As everyone else has said I can only ditto...from the minute you meet her you will be comfortable. We went from 65 to 33 to 25 guests and she was there all the way. She even helped me polish up my make up! Treat yourself and purchase the album afterward, again she's right there all the way making beautiful memories of your day. All my friends say what an incredible photographer

Deciding to go with Mary for our engagement and wedding photos is one of the best decisions I’ve made. She found the most perfect location for us to take our engagement pictures based on my vision. I can't begin to say how amazing working with Mary is. I booked her for a very special (and unconventional) reason. I recently graduated with my Master's degree, the second person in my family to do so, behind my grandmother. To honor both of our achievements, I asked Mary if we could surprise my grandma with a graduation photoshoot. Mary was absolutely wonderful to work with! She is incredibly talented and professional and it shows in her work. She is truly a master at her craft. Mary, I cannot think of the words to describe what I am thinking, feeling, and how to express what is really happening to me right now! You have captured my true love for these guys and how I really love living to care for them and others. I will cherish each and everyone of these photos and the time we had together to create the beauty you have captured for me and "My Boys". I couldn't be happier with our family photos! Mary's patience with our nine small grandchildren and photographing 4 separate families as well as our group photo was very much appreciated. She invested lots of time in getting the right poses, lighting, and smiles! It was so exciting to receive them and that is another perk....she sent them so soon. They are great photos despite a very sunny day with lots of shadows! Now it's time to order the Christmas cards!

I came to Mary after having an absolute horrific headshot session for professional purposes. Then to add salt to the wound, my employer posted the photos on our company website. This was nothing less than dreadful! I shared with Mary this experience and she offered nothing but empathy and assured me she could capture great photos.
