Nitelase is used for patients that have swelling with weakening of tissue of the soft palate, which is the back of the throat. When someone is lying down, weakened tissue can collapse causing obstruction of the airway. Snoring is a sign you may need Nitelase. Snoring reflects partial obstruction, while apnea occurs when there is complete obstruction of the airway causing cessation in breathing for varied amounts of time.

I recently visited the Oregon Derma Center for the first time. The staff members were so accommodating and kind. Elisa helped me at the front desk getting me set up with all the necessary paperwork. In the exam room Jenny helped me determine exactly the procedure that suited my beauty goals. After just a very short wait, Dr. Jason Black came in and explained very thoroughly all the risks and benefits of my procedure. I felt very comfortable during and after my injections. There is such a stigma attached to getting "work" done these days and the horror stories are enough to steer you clear of the idea entirely. That was why I never pursued my options to treat signs of aging. For starters, I would rate my skin above average for my age. Dr. Jason Black is a miracle worker! I was suffering with heal and ankle pain. I went to a physical therapist, acupuncturist and a massage therapist. They all reduced the pain a little but it did not last long. That 1st session with Dr. Black eliminated the pain I had been suffering from for the past 8 months! Dr Jason Black is one of the most compassionate and intelligent doctors I have ever met. His careful attention to detail and his referral to Dr Jessica Black have literally saved my sons life! I initially came in for the PRP treatments to help improve wrinkles and acne scarring. After the first treatment I thought my skin looked amazing, radiant, glowing and just pretty. That is huge for me because I am 46 years old and have tried some laser treaments and expensive lotions in the past and have always been disappointed. But what really got me is when my coworkers asked what I had done because they noticed how good my skin looked. Dr. Black is a wonderful physician. He is down-to-earth, listens well and gives great consultative care. I saw Dr. Black for sun damage that over the years had caused permanent redness on my skin. This area frequently looked sunburned - especially when I spent some time in the sun - even with SPF 45. After a few treatments my skin looks totally different. I am no longer self conscious about this area. Dr. Black also helped vanish freckles and fine lines I was concerned about. What a difference a little work with Dr. Black can make in how you feel about yourself.
