An associate of mine has her as a lawyer on a very weak criminal case and she won't return calls. Or file simple pre-trial motions to spare her clients the unessessary stress and anxiety of facing an impending jury trial.. Apparently she prefers her clients plead guilty to "lesser charges", rather than defend them with zeal and passion, as is every attorney's sworn duty and ethical obligation.
Unfortunately this is the way the 4th Judicial Distict of Iowa rolls.
Expect to have your case continued at the very last second with no conference or explainiation.
