Services
A native of western PA, Bill graduated from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. After relocating to Elizabethtown in 1994, he was employed for 11 years as a licensed funeral director by the former Frank S. Miller Funeral Home. Bill is also a graduate of Lebanon Valley College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business management.
Spence Funeral Services has provided funeral, cremation, and pre-planning services to the families of northwest Lancaster County and the surrounding area, such as Manheim, Lititz, Elizabethtown and Mount Joy, since 2005.
After being employed as a funeral director by the former Frank S. Miller Funeral Home, Inc., in Elizabethtown for 11 years, I and my wife, Brenda, decided to create a fresh, new kind of funeral business with a unique purpose - to provide excellent service to families while keeping costs affordable.

Spence Funeral and Cremation Services is honored to be a part of the rich history of Manheim. Founded in 1762, Manheim predates the Revolutionary War and has direct ties to Pennsylvania's founder, William Penn. The earliest plans for the town included a wide-open space for a town square, now known as Market Square.

Most deaths occur in hospice, hospitals or nursing care facilities. Routinely, facility staff will notify immediate family members, providing the family was not present at the time of the passing. An opportunity will be given for families to spend time with their loved one prior to our funeral home being notified.
