We have all seen "5-Star" services that don't really deserve it. Townie is the glorious exception. The cars - 5 star. The reservation process - 5 star. The people put it over the top, however. CANNOT be nicer, more respectful. Always on time, courteous in the BEST way, and thoughtful. These people helped my family during a very tough time, we needed flexibility and convenience. We got all that, and then some. I cannot recommend Townie highly enough. As another reviewer said, if I could give a 6th star, I would.

We used Townie Transportation this past weekend to go to dinner in Raleigh. We requested a certain time for a pickup and Jamie arrived on time, dressed professionally. She opened the doors for the women and waited until we were situated to take us to our destination.
There were four of us in our party and we were not exactly a quiet ride for her. She never complained one bit that we were too rowdy. Just let us have our fun.
We gave her our pickup time, and she was right on time for our pick up, again with a pleasant ride back.

We went with their services on a recommendation from the owner of our wedding venue and could not have been more impressed. Our driver, Taylor, picked us up for a private ride home on the night of our wedding and was so professional and helpful with making sure we were abundantly comfortable for our ride. We would highly recommend both him but Townie’s services in general for any elegant riding experience!

This is a top notch company and I will call them for rides to and from the airport every time I travel to Duke University. On time, very clean cars, attention to detail and good communicators. They were gracious when I was the one running late for my trip back to the airport! If I could give an extra star, I would!

Before the pandemic I had used this service on several occasions. The cost was $50 each way. This time I was quoted $58 going and $78 coming back and that the addition $20 was because of late night pickup. Flight originally scheduled to land at 11:55 pm on return. Once we got to the airport, the driver said the cost would be $98. This included %20 upcharge and tip, but the retun would only $78. Upon drop off, I gave the driver $80. He insisted the cost was $98. I acknowledge that convenience can cost, and our flight was very late getting in, however, the owner, Taylor was dishonest and took advantage

Townie was a real treat for my transportation from the airport! I was going to use Lyft, but I decided to reach out to Jamie and she was amazing! The car was clean, she was on time and it felt amazing to hop in the car and cruise pass all the people waiting for their Lyfts! On rare occasions the right business model aligns with the right moment in time. I have used car services across the US and in fourteen foreign countries. The car service gap has always been between the taxi/Uber model and the luxury sedan. Townie, as the name conveys, fills the gap. They provide, reliability, professionalism, attention to detail and amazing comfort at a reasonable price. Every experience is marked by courtesy, polished details and on time service. Very reliable, and so easy to reserve. We were one of those people who realized at 10pm the night before that maybe Uber/Lyft weren't going to be awake at 4:15am for a ride to the airport. Even with calling the night before the reservation process was quick. The car we were picked up in was so nice, so clean and so comfortable and our driver knew what he was doing. The drive was easy and the payment process was seamless. Next time we're in Chapel Hill we will use Townie again and would recommend to anyone visiting.
