I am a local hometown native. I was born at NAS JAX into a military family, moved around to many different towns, spent 20 years in the Greater Cincinnati area as a flight attendant, and found myself divorced with 2 young children and far away from home. I relocated back to Jax where I went to Law School.
If you were not married at the time your child was born, a Father must establish paternity through the judicial system to have any legal rights to parenting time, even if the Father's name is on the Birth Certificate. While the Child Support Office can establish child support, they DO NOT establish a parenting plan.
The Courts look at what is in the Best Interest of the Child when determining a Parenting Plan (Commonly known as child custody). But what does that mean? Each family is different. Absolutely awesome attorney! I wish I would have found her earlier. I was taking the ex back to court for contempt for the 4th time. Needless to say the old lawyers proved ineffective. I presented her with all of the evidence(thankfully I took good notes during the whole ordeal), and she got the ball rolling instantly!
