Services
I began my massage experience since I was a kid, primarily working on friends and family. As an adult recognizing the therapeutic benefits to my clients as well as to myself, I decided to obtain a degree in Therapeutic Massage and begin my private practice (founder Oasis 212 Denver now Oasis, Inc.).
Our therapeutic massages incorporate a variety of massage techniques in each session (Swedish massage, Deep Tissue massage, Sports massage, Trigger Point massage). We evaluate muscle tissues by palpating (feeling the muscle), examining posture traits, and listening to customer symptoms and reviewing the clinical intake form.
Sometimes you just want to escape the pressures of the day. Swedish massage is commonly referred to as a relaxation massage. The long, fluid massage strokes promote increased blood flow allowing oxygenated blood to reach and nourish surrounding cells and tissues. The methodical cadence of this stroke sends signals to your brain allowing muscular tension to release.
Deep Tissue is a specifically focused massage technique. Deep Tissue massage is often recommended if you have chronic conditions such as postural deviations, low back pain, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Tennis Elbow, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Sciatica issues, Fibromyalgia, Restless Leg Syndrome and a variety of other tendinitis and muscle spasm related issues.
Trigger Point massage is a specifically targeted technique. Most people refer to trigger points as knots. A trigger point is commonly caused by repetitive stress injuries (over-use) and generally, develop over a period of time before causing discomfort. These areas can be tender and trigger a pain response that in turn can cause the muscle to contract which can create more pain (spasm-pain cycle).
