Ellis Bottom Line Bookkeeping, LLC was founded by Gail Ellis in 2001, Greg joined the family business in 2006 and in 2013 took over as the sole member. Ellis Bottom Line Bookkeeping provides expertise and focus to your business and personal accounting needs. We can help you implement systems to improve your bottom line.
As a part of either our on or off-site services we will manage your accounting journals, keeping track of sales, receipts, and disbursements. These journals record the details of day-to-day business, clearly marking both debits and credits to a business' accounts. We will manage your accounts receivables.
Ellis BLB will file your individual federal tax return, including all necessary worksheets and schedules. At Ellis BLB we file all tax returns electronically. Filing electronically allows for a faster return, and allows you to track the processing of your return. This also creates a permanent, electronic record of your return, making it easier to review past year's returns.
As bookkeepers we can help you track things to help you better understand your business. Many people are using QuickBooks but few are using the program to it's potential. We will work with you to track the financial information you need to fine tune your business. If you're like most business owners the books are the last thing you want to do.

Had them do some work and then they became unresponsive on questions regarding the work we paid them for. Greg is a sharp guys and good at what he does personally; however, it gets lost downstream with the staff. Being tossed around between temp employees to manage our business accounting was not productive at all. For your business, I would keep looking for a more responsive and polished tax accounting pro.

Normally I would prefer to meet in person and they were unable to due to COVID-19. Which I understand, they charge a lot for not doing a lot. I will never use them in the future and felt like I had to manage them. I have used a CPA for the last 15 years and all were more attentive than Ellis Bottom Line Bookkepping. They even made errors that costed me $1400! Worst service ever and wish I could give them a zero star rating.

Greg and Kate at Ellis are epic! These two accountants are excellent with communication, diligence, and persistence. They have consistently gone over and above to help me--I have two businesses so my taxes are more complex than if I were employed--and these two keep me on track all year long. They are also authentic and have encouraged me to take actions that resulted in me opening my second business, which is thriving.
I read one of the negative reviews from a few years back and, although I sense that Greg is very busy in his firm, I have never felt as if he didn't want to work with me

The Ellis team has been helping me with bookkeeping, tax prep, and payroll for my business and personal life since 2015. I would highly recommend Ellis Bottom Line Bookkeeping. I had the same exact experience as Mary H. After being with them for pretty much a year and a half Greg told me he did not think we could afford to have him do our books properly and they dropped us. I can only guess they got some huge client that take all of thier time now. Interestingly enough it was shortly after we switched from quarterly deposits to monthly deposits that they no longer wanted to work with us. I still have e-mails saved from Greg saying how he was going to come in and spend some time at the beginning of 2014 to help us get our books in order, but we could never find a time

Randomly found Ellis BLB on Google a few years ago, and met Greg at his office. I was interviewing a few bookkeepers, but made up my mind on the spot that I wanted to hire Greg and his team. They have absolutely rocked it for the past 3 years, and are very reasonably priced.
