A: Today's vehicles are equipped with disc brakes, which use a caliper and brake pads to hydraulically 'squeeze' the rotor and create friction to slow the vehicle. Brake squealing and noises are commonly attributed to dusty, worn or broken brake linings and even high frequency vibrations caused by warped rotors.

I don't normally write reviews and this is not a paid for or prodded endorsement. I have been coming here for tires and repairs for several years now. John has always been a straight shooter and explains the options, repairs and the invoice thoroughly. Recently had to have extensive repair done to the front suspension of my truck. He kept me up to speed on the progress and a major problem that they ran into. They worked overtime and got the job done a day earlier and for less than the quote- I doubt I would have even known the difference. That is honesty. Recommend giving WT&A a try.

Could not be happier with the service I received here. They performed one of the most thorough pre purchase inspections I've ever seen. The manager, John, was incredibly helpful and professional. He talked to me extensively about the inspection they would perform before even receiving the car. After performing inspection, he spent a considerable amount of time in the phone with me going over every detail they found. He even gave advice on how to use what they found to negotiate a lower price for the vehicle. After this experience, I would absolutely outky bring my vehicle to them for any servicing

I have the trust in them to be able to do the repairs. They find the problem and fix it, but also trust that they are not going to push you into unneeded service just to generate fees. John and his team always give excellent, efficient service, provide knowledgeable answers to your questions. Price is reasonable. Make you feel like a friend not just a customer.

I highly recommend John and Wallingford tire and auto. I bring all of my family’s cars here when they need service. I have to admit, for a long time I thought the shop only did tire repairs so I didn’t think to bring my cars here. However, now that we know the great job John and his team do on auto service I won’t go anywhere else.

I had my first experience with Wallingford Tire and Auto this week. They were able to get my tires ordered overnight and installed within 1.5 hours the next day. John was kind and very honest and even sent me an email with a coupon for an oil change! They made it so easy and quick and I'm very impressed. I'll be back with my auto needs again!
