PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU HIRE THIS COMPANY! Big Mistake! We went through a broker, Independence Van Lines who then used this company. It started out by them showing up and claiming that we had more items than originally stated and they tried to charge us a ridiculous amount of money. Then, they promised a delivery in 4 days which turned into 13 days! After 4 days, when I called and asked where my items were at they said in a warehouse in Carol Stream, they hadn't even left Illinois yet. It started when they showed up to pick up our items - they originally quoted us $2200... which mysteriously became $3700 the day of the pickup!!!! Alex and his team pulled off the impossible: they safely, successfully and relatively quickly moved a large sofa into our third floor condo. They did it on time, with a great, friendly attitude and with minimum disruption to our neighbors and community. We are definitely using them again and I would recommend Town Moving without hesitation.

I called many moving companies for my move from Pasadena to Hollywood. It required only one truck and so many other places that quoted me gave me all these contingencies on final pricing and all. Alex and his team at Town moving provided me with a reasonable flat rate and the two gentlemen got to work. These guys were great! Very responsive via phone/email when getting everything set up. Alex even helped me find an optimal storage unit for my belongings. Day-off movers were fast, clean, and super nice! I really appreciate everything the Town Moving team did to make my move easy and comfortable! I highly recommend them!

These guys are awesome. I moved from South Bay area to Central Coast and wanted to go with local movers. Alex was quick to respond and very informative. He gave me a run down on every steps they were going to do, and updated throughout the process so I knew what was going on. They were thorough with their moving process and ensured my stuff wouldn't be damaged during hauling process. I'd choose them again when I move next time.

I am very glad I contacted this company! I had a last minute immediate need to move furniture that I had purchased from one apartment to another. Their team was very prompt at answering my questions, being flexible with my needs, and confirming a booking for the next day. They did an amazing job of wrapping the furniture with care and moving it into my place. They were very polite and professional. I highly recommend them and will be using them in the future as well.

What ever you do, do not used this company for moving. They are not a honest company. Lied from the beginning of the process. I requested for them to pack up all my items and they agreed. They arrived late, contracted staff and only two(Luis and contract person). It took them from 12n-12midnight, with my assistance. They promise to put everything back together. However, I had my furniture put in storage and the delivery suppose to occur on one date and renegotiated. And did not keep their promise for delivery date and time agree upon the next time. Just poor customer service.

You do not get a direct contact. The work is contracted out. Any other claim is a lie. Go get a name brand like Atlas or United.

This company is by far the worst company I have ever have to deal with. I scheduled my move with Luis and everything went smoothly. I put down my deposit and the first thing I asked was is the deposit refundable? Luis said the deposit is 100% refundable if I changed my mind. Unfortunately we had a change of heart and decided not to move. This is where it all started. I called to cancel my move the very next day. This move never got out of the gate. The sales person was professional throughout the early process. I was quoted a price which I thought was fair. I was told that my home goods would be picked up on one of two days. I sent an email to them last Thursday I did not hear anything back. I called this am and spoke to Castello the CFO he said they would pick up my goods tomorrow between 11-1pm. I asked why no one had called me to give me notice he said they were going to call in the next hour to let me know. My fiancé and I first hired Town Moving when we needed our brand new couch hoisted into our third story apartment. They arrived on time and wrapped the couch to protect it from any damage. I was kinda freaked out about my new couch flying through the air, but they knew exactly what they were doing. They were extremely careful with it and got the couch up and into the apartment in no time at all. All of the guys were very professional and we were very happy with the work they did.

They were FANTASTIC! I needed a large (heavy) sofa hoisted to the 4th floor, through a courtyard. Four guys arrived and had it done within an hour - super efficient. If and when I move again, I will call them immediately - they were reliable, quick to respond to my call, and super easy to schedule. I definitely recommend them for moving, and for hoisting.

When they first showed up at our door and assessed the moving situation, I could tell they were different from the rest. The friendly and respectful staff automatically put my mind at ease about the move by stating that we had nothing to worry about. Everything that we wanted to take would be going with us. My overwhelming feeling of confusion and stress in the sea of boxes, furniture, and stuffs everywhere (no time to pack properly) was very quickly transformed into a feeling of relief as one by one all of our stuff was gone: safely wrapped and packed on the truck. I have never written a review before but I felt compelled to warn future customers after my experience. I have formally filed a claim with the company and a complaint with the Department of Transportation so I am very serious about these allegations. A brief list of my complaints against the company are as follows...

1. Loss - After opening boxes filled with personal items, I realized that my appraised $800 antique pearl necklace had been stolen.

2. Damage - After the movers assembled my bed and left I realized that my box spring was stained and soaking wet.

3. Delay - My pick up date was 5
