Today was my first visit with Dr.Alex and it was outstanding. I walked in with an injured elbow with lots of pain and he treated it with the laser therapy. After he finished working on it, my elbow felt amazing like it was brand new. He also worked on my hamstring that I previously pulled and he made it feel amazing like I was walking on air. Dr. Stephen Alex is an excellent doctor. His staff is very attentive, professional, and always very friendly. I highly recommend him to everyone, my carpel tunnel surgery was excellent and now have full mobility and no pain in both hands. He is the best doctor, human being, kindly, you can trust in his ability to perform the surgery and when you visit his office you feel like you find a new family, all his staff are the best. I was in pain for several months until one weekend I was in especially bad wrist pain and unable to sleep. It was Sunday early in the morning I was searching the web for a hand doctor near me and read the reviews from prior patients and decided to reach out for Dr Alex. There is a reason Dr. Alex has earned an excellent reputation. I had an 8:00 AM appointment and arrived 15 minutes early. The office was open and the pleasant receptionist gave me the necessary paper work I needed to fill out as a new patient. At 7:55 AM the x-ray tech escorted me to the x-ray room and took two films. Very cool x-ray machine. At 8:05 AM I met with Dr. Alex's PA (physician's assistant) who told me that what I had was not a bone cyst (as I had thought) but rather a ganglion cyst. I went to see Dr. Alex for an issue with my hands that had persisted for years. I kept putting off seeing someone thinking the pain and stiffness would go away. When the pain became unbearable I decided to seek help. Dr. Alex was able to diagnose the issue, what I thought was going to be a simple carpal tunnel surgery turned out to be a bit more serious. Not only did I need carpal tunnel release surgery but I had multiple fingers with trigger finger and also needed an ulnar nerve release on the elbow. Dr. Alex is my one and only choice when it comes to any and all issues related to my hands or wrists. I have had two surgical procedures performed by him in this past year. The most recent was an accident involving a machete and my left thumb. Dr. Alex skillfully repaired the fractured bone and cut tendon all the while assuring me that all would be well. His genuine concern for me as a patient is always refreshing and calming. This concern and care is exhibited by his entire office staff. After going through a really bad fall at the gym and breaking both of my wrists I went to see Dr.Alex the very next day. His staff was so amazing at accommodating me in order to see him. My experience from beginning to end has been great. Two days after my accident I was in surgery to repair my very broken left wrist. I was so eager to see Dr. Alex based on some reviews from other sites. I took all the steps to confirm my PCP referral to a specialist and called my insurance company as well as Dr. Alex's office to confirm that I would not need anything else for my visit. Once I arrived, the office staff was dismissive and rude. They claimed they didn't receive my referral, insinuated I was lying...until of course they found it.
