We got there around 3pm and started playing games. It was our first time here. The selection was great, and the games were fun and only missing a few pieces here and there.
We didn't expect much out of the food and we ordered chicken tenders and one of each snack item. We requested extra ranch three times and more water but gave up because they kept forgetting. The chicken wasn't awful and the snacks were just bulk from Costco. Which again, wasn't awful - the bad part was the dozens of tiny crawling bugs halfway down the snack bowls which we noticed after eating a few handfuls. Clearly they are

Nice atmosphere, great selection of games.
My gripes with the place come from the food, one dish in particular. The mozzarella sticks. I ordered these because I love mozzarella sticks, but when I got them it was just mozzarella sticks, no marinara sauce. I asked the waiter for the sauce and he went to the back, and upon his return he informed me that they don’t have marinara sauce, never did.
What kind of place serves mozzarella sticks with no sauce. I could have choked, the dish became inedible. My disappointment was immeasurable and my day was ruined. Go here for the games not the mozzarella

I have been here about half a dozen times. The food is good and I liked picking up some of their board games. I've only rented games two times, and it's not bad. It's a fun place to go for a D&D session or just to hang out. I would recommend it if you haven't tried it.

We had a great time here and will definitely be back. So many games to choose from! We most enjoyed the afternoon when it was less busy and less noisy, but it was also neat to see how popular the place is for families and groups of friends. Also they have gluten free fries and are mindful about contamination!

Such a fun experience! Great staff that joked around with us and gave us great recommendations! You can order a meal, or there are board game snacks to purchase! Many, MANY games are offered and it has a great atmosphere. Love it!

This place was packed when we arrived. We were still seated fairly quickly and the hostess was really outgoing. She explained how the place worked clearly to us as we were new. This was my first time visiting a board game cafe and it really blew me away. They had every board game I have ever seen and then another 1000 that I have never heard of. I thought the games were the main draw and didn't expect much from the menu. Then I read the menu. I was feeling adventurous and decided on the PBJ Jalapeño Smashup Burger. It was strange yet absolutely delicious. And the sweet potato fries are wavy cut

Great place to hang out with friends and family. Delicious food and fun environment with all the games. It's a good place whether you decide to play games or not. If you decide to play, you can rent a game or bring your own. Family friendly. If you have little kids I recommend the booth areas with the couches because it gives the kids a little more room to move if they can't stand sitting down for long periods of time.

Overall I really fun experience. I came here for a fun night and that's what we had.

First the food. I ordered their grilled parcheesi with ham, tomato, cheddar, and you can get Swiss but I opted out. With fries on the side. The sandwich was great. I thought it was made really well. My friend got their cowboy burger it was so big she couldn't finish it. So the portions here are great. However, their fries are extremely salty. Like I felt my lips get chapped from eating there. I'm someone who likes salt so when I say it's too much it's really too much.

We had a great time at Good Move Cafe! I got the Peanut Butter Jalapeño burger. I liked the flavors that the warm peanut butter added to the burger. We also orders a plate of sweet potato fries. It was huge! Definitely enough for 4 to munch on as you play games.

Good move cafe has a great assortment of games to play from 2-x players. The staff is available to help, and it's an overall great time!

Really poor service, under par food and the cover charge for a restaurant that doesn't serve drinks was a weird move.

All in all i was dissatisfied from the moment i walked in the door, especially with the service

This place is a fun one timer! The games are fun and it’s an enjoyable environment if you love board games. They have literally every single game alive! However their food was not great but not terrible either. My wife got their Mac and cheese and enjoyed it, I had a bite or two and it was good. Lots of Cheese and pasta is hard to mess up. The cowboy burger wasn’t great brisket in a burger sounds amazing right? Not if the brisket is very dry and tastes like a store bought deli meat. Like I said it’s worth a one time experience.

Great place! Food was wonderful, huge selection of games! I appreciate how organized they are. It was just the two of us and having games that are specific to two people on a labeled shelf, they are also sorted by genre or if you have less time, they have shelves of quicker games. I ordered the Cowboy Burger:
1/3 pound steak patty on a Brioche bun, with smoked brisket, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, and a batter-fried onion ring.
So so good. This is the perfect night out for people of all ages, group sizes and abilities.

Great games and to my surprise, great food!

More games than you can imagine!

I got the New York Burger and it was delicious! Great flavor and a very large portion. I also did a side garden salad. Their ranch is good, not just hidden valley ranch stuff.

My husband got the Cobb Salad and it was huge and he really enjoyed it!

My daughter got the spicy chicken sandwich and she said it was too spicy. She loves spice, but said it just burned.

I'm excited to come back again!

Very dissapointed and dissatisfied with the service. We ordered a Jumanji and a New York burger for takeout. When we got home the boxes were not only labeled wrong but instead of the Jumanji we got something with jalapenos and jam?? It looked gross and the burger was stale.

I normally let this stuff go because I worked fast food and I understand that things happen, but when we called them about it there was little to no apology. We then had to drive 10 minutes and wait another 10 at the restaurant for them to give us the correct burger. Once again there was no apology and they seemed almost apathetic

First time here and it was phenomenal! There's free 2 hr street parking on center, or longer parking in the nearby neighborhoods.

They seat you, and then you are free to order food and browse their selection of 1,000 games, including a big section of kids games.

We were blown away by the quality of food and big portion sizes! We just didn't expect it. Our two toddlers and us had a fantastic time trying out new games. The employees can even teach you games.

$5 a person for unlimited games. Kids 5 and under are free. Each menu item you order takes $1 off your game admission (you pay

This place is a lot of fun, it's beet easy to spend several hours here. The food is decent, it wouldn't be worth it to come just for a meal, but the fact that you can get a meal AND stay as long as you want playing games makes it well worth it. We went on a Saturday afternoon and they were not busy at all. The service is incredibly friendly and attentive, and they never make you feel pressured to give up your table. Overall a great experience.

Came in during TimpCon for their special 10% off deal. They were two blocks from the convention center and so I'm not sure how parking would be- seems a little difficult as it is on a center street and the nearest parking might be a block or two away.
When we entered, we were greeted by a host at the front who talked us through the setup. There were board game themed displays and menu items everywhere, and the walls were lined with board games.
The food was three stars, a bit overpriced, but okay. I had the Hawaiian Burger and the cinnamon bread and ice cream dessert. The side salad was

I feel like I need to rate Good Move twice: once as a game-playing lounge, and another time as a restaurant. The quality differs so drastically between the two, because Good Move has done a brilliant, 5-star job of providing such a huge variety of games (and some very new!), matching any price on the many games they sell in their store, but have put nearly all their resources into just that, and neglected the restaurant part, which I would rate at 2 stars.
The food ranges from mediocre (fries) to pretty bad (chicken wings, ranch--basically just mayonnaise) and it's all overpriced.
And although

What a cool place! And the food is actually very high quality, which I think surprises many people. The first impression here is positive, with a great atmosphere and design. You immediately get seated and the payments for everything you do, whether you eat or play, are settled quickly and easily at the end.
The staff is very helpful and respond positively to requests for help and they actually try to befriend you. They are worth the tips!
The food is high quality (and they know what they want for it, which would be my only complaint). Every dish is an average of $10, but it’s fun to play games

What an amazing experience! It's difficult to get a niche restaurant like this to have a following, but Good Move Cafe works because it doesn't sacrifice quality of flavor (price of ingredients) for atmosphere and it's able to bank heavily on Utah's healthy nerd culture. What I ate was very good, and though it wasn't the highest quality burger I've ever had, it was priced at its quality level, which is unusual for a specialty place. Also, this is the one place where if you want just about anything, they have it, most restaurants can't boast that kind of versatility

I have driven by good move cafe on my way to and from work for quite sometime and finally had a chance to try it last week. Let me give you my perspective on the restaurant/experience.

First, I genuinely view good move as more of an experience that serves food instead of a restaurant that happens to have games. What I mean by that the focus of the place is certainly games. If you are simply looking for a place to eat dinner you might want to go somewhere else.

At the same time, I didn't think the food was bad. I had the cowboy burger and it was pretty good. Not amazing, but did the job

If you're looking for a unique place that is fun and where you will have a good time, this is a great place to go! They have hundreds of games that you can play both old and new! My husband and I spent the night playing battleship and had a blast!

In terms of the food quality it's pretty average. I got the New York Burger and it was good but they didn't ask me how I wanted it cooked and personally I didn't think it was anything special. My husband got the go fish and chips and similar story it was good food but nothing special.

The service was friendly but very poor. We got
