As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, provide psychiatric medication evaluations and ongoing management. My goal is to help you find your true and healthiest potential. One of my most important tasks is listening. In order to help you, I need to understand you: where you've been, how you see yourself now, and what your goals are.
A strong working partnership between both parties is essential to designing a successful treatment plan. I value your input when making decisions. It's your health, and your mind. It is crucial to me that you truly understand your treatment choices - and that you feel confident that you are making informed decisions about your treatment plan.

Services
I have been working in mental health for over 18 years. My work in the field started in in-patient psychiatric units for 12 years before opening my practice in 2011. Working in hospitals provided the opportunity to treat a wide variety of patients using multiple modalities and in various treatment settings.
It is my belief that, when psychiatric symptoms are severe enough to create problems in life, and effect the ability to function, psychiatric medications can be very helpful in returning people to their healthier self. I also strongly believe that these medications work best when used in combination with psychotherapy.
Seeing a psychiatric provider is a sensitive issue that people can be understandably concerned or wary about. I assure you that what is said in our sessions, and the treatment plan we design together, will be kept completely confidential.
The only situations in which I am required to release information without your explicit permission are emergencies, like: if you are at risk of harming yourself, if you are at risk of hurting someone else or have named someone you're planning to hurt, or if a child or elderly person is being abused.
