Manitoba Corporation has carved out a unique niche in the world of recycling. We are a major processor of any and all types of non-ferrous scrap metals. We operate shears, chopping lines, briquettors, wire burning incinerators, small arms ammunition popping oven, as well as considerable additional equipment to prepare and process metals.

One of our specialties is the reduction of bulk shipments of metals into easy to handle smaller packages. We package, flake, chops, shot, powder, etc. into paper and cloth bags, as well as plastic or metal pails and drums for easier alloying and handling by our customers. We also offer destruction services for any dismantling/de-manufacturing needs you may have.
Services
We were established in Buffalo, NY in 1916. We are currently being operated by the third and fourth generation of the founder, as well as others who have joined the firm over the past ninety two years. A European immigrant who was unable to find work in the local factories founded the company. He obtained a pushcart and started to earn a living picking up rags, waste paper, and metals from people's homes.
A European immigrant born in 1870 he came to this country with next to nothing. He was unable to find work and set out to collect rags, waste paper, and metals using a pushcart he had purchased with the little money he had. He started out going door to door in various neighborhoods and eventually built the business up enough that he purchased a small shop and a horse and wagon so he could collect larger quantities.
We operate chopping lines, shears, wire burning incinerators, briquettors, balers, a small arms ammunition popping oven, as well as considerable additional equipment to prepare and process metals. Our job is to clean, sort, segregate, remove contamination such as insulation on wire, and produce a clean, known, identifiable alloy that can be easily re-melted and recycled to make new products.
Manitoba Corporation is dedicated to providing outstanding service to our customers and vendors alike. We operate a company aircraft that allows us to periodically visit our customers and suppliers to keep up to date on their requirements, and to be responsive to their needs. We maintain a fleet of trucks, and also have numerous common carriers at our disposal to both pick up and deliver our products.
In January of 2018 Manitoba Corporation achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification. This has been a tremendous advantage for our company as it has helped us to maintain a quality management system our customers have come to expect. Client confidence is gained because of the universal acceptance of the ISO standards.

If you are coming here your GPS will not route you on Central Ave due to low bridges. Not a problem. Come off of Walden Ave and go south on Central Ave. You will go under 3 low bridges that a standard trailer ( 13’ 6” ) will fit no problem. Company will be on the right side before the 4th low bridge that you will definitely not fit under. Fast unloading. In and out.
