During the winter months the Humpback whales migrate to Hawaii to give birth. The few months they spend here is filled with learning and playing. While sitting Ocean Front and overlooking the Pacific Ocean you can watch as the adult whales show the calf's how to jump out of the ocean, wave their fins and slap their tails.

Kahana Reef sits a couple yards from the ocean and boasts spectacular ocean front views. Located about ten (10) minutes north of Lahaina, this quiet four story complex is the perfect place to relax. The ocean front pool is perfect for taking a swim or just laying out reading a book, and enjoying the simple things in life.

Really nice place on oceanfront to stay! 4 floors with elevators for those who need them. Higher floors - nicer views....Only downside is their pool is limited use to 1/2 hour time slots you have to reserve and they fill up quickly. Also, the pool has no chairs or lounges, so you have to bring your own seating...great views of Molokai and Lanai...good spot to whale watch and snorkel...

Stayed at #207. Loved the view. You can see sun set perfectly. Internet worked great. Pool and laundry room was helpful too.
Location is good too! Walkable to general store, coffee, brewery. No A/C is not a problem at day time because there is
so much breeze coming in.
Disappointed:
CLEANINESS - carpet in living room, 2 bath mats in bathroom smelled, left over food in cabinet
SMELL - The kitchen smelled so bad like a dampster after using microwave and oven top.
NOISE - The bedroom has small windows and facing the parking and street. At night it is so noisy. At around 12am to 2 am there was

Great off the beaten path spot in Kahana. Nice little beach next door and not crowded. Restaurants nearby and just a great relaxing place to enjoy Maui.

SO MANY TURTLES! Great condo, great location! No AC. That did actually hurt. It was HOT. In hindsight, we wish we had slept on the pull-out sofa bed (located in the livingroom). If you can manage the heat, this condo is well worth it. -June 2021

We stayed here and loved it! The unit didn't have central air conditioning but we survived! The sea life you see here is incredible! Just over the ledge we say 2 types of sharks, eagle ray, plenty of sea turtles, and some fish! Its a perfect place to get away from the larger crowds. More private and more locals here!

My friends and I stayed here in August of last year. It was perfect. It's a one bedroom condominium where some condos have pullout sofas in the living room. (Ours did.) Some people live there and others rent out their condo so it's a quiet area. (Multiple companies rent out the condos.)
It's also gorgeous. It's ocean front (living room faces the ocean) with a small beach just north of the property. (Access is on the property.) Each condo has a lanai. Also has a pool & two outdoor barbecues.
The views every morning and evening are amazing. I was usually the first person up & I'd slip outside to

Fantastic quiet location, right on the ocean-- we saw whales everyday and this view was from our 3rd floor unit. Only downside for us was that there is not laundry in the units, you have to use the condos laundry room which wasn't convenient.

Overall great place. Easy parking, everything in working order, also a great week being the closet had beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, etc... Perfect to head to the beach with. Plenty of dishes etc if you wanted to cook or use the grills which are in the main area, chairs to sit in front of the ocean, and the pool was nice enough too. Pretty quiet atmosphere to relax in. Looks like public laundry area downstairs that I didn't need to use. My only wish would be for air conditioning!

Ground floor condos are literally 10 steps from the ocean! Incredible sunsets!
Condo rules include noise guidelines. Makes for a very peaceful place to relax and enjoy the stunning views. Residents are friendly and helpful. Trade winds provide excellent air flow on warm days as this condo does not allow the use of A/C units. All units have metal screen, locking doors with padlock to allow air movement. Temperatures during the day have been between 28-32°C (82-90°F) during late September and sleeping hasn't been an issue at night.
Grounds are kept well manicured. Pool is cleaned daily. Private
