Tranquility Salon & Skin Care, located in the heart of beautiful downtown Exeter, invites you to come in and enjoy the experience of our warm and friendly environment. The beautiful sights and sounds of the Squamscott River from our back windows in the warmer months, the cozy fireplace throughout the winter, and the brick walls and high ceilings, all make for a very unique salon setting.
Cathy began her career in Massachusetts over 30 years ago as a "shampoo girl". Tasks grew to include just about everything other than cutting. So years later, after the last of her four children began school, returning to school herself was only natural. Cathy loves the beauty industry, continuing her education at every opportunity.
By eliminating toxins in their skin & hair care products and in their environment, green salons provide a healthier experience. By putting aside the stressors of modern life - including noise, pollution, toxins and waste - green salons are able to offer a more balanced and relaxing experience.

If you are unfamiliar with this, it is a day in which the stylists donate their time to a worthy cause by cutting hair.

Just went here for a pedicure and was disappointed in the service. The nail tech did not speak to me for entire pedicure, which I can understand because I also work in customer service but it would have been nice to have some casual conversation or even just a “how are you”. She spoke more to her coworkers who walked by than me. It made me feel really awkward, especially because I could hear other employees talking with their clients. In fact, the only time she really talked to me was right at the end when she was asking me out loud in front of everyone in the salon if I wanted to tip. Obviously

Walked in on a whim. Was lucky enough to get a walk in appointment with Zack. As a dude with long hair, it's hard finding the right place for a haircut. Zack absolutely killed it! Great dude, great haircut, great experience, and great advice for keeping my locks looking luscious. This is definitely my new spot, and is an easy recommendation.

I had a bit of a haircut “situation” that needed correcting and Courtney was AMAZING. She fixed my pixie and it’s now one of my favorite cuts ever. She killed it and I immediately made my next appointment with her for my next color and cut. She is a sweetheart and very positive. And the product smelled sooooo great!
