Trying to find a contractor for my unique idea for retiring our old leaking eye sore of a pool area was not easy. I was referred to Matson construction by a friend. I liked him from day one. He came in not totally understanding my vision, but told me where I needed to start for him to even begin. After 2 years of planning and working a engineering company, Dave and his team were ready to start. Construction commenced on March 2021 and my concept became reality in July 2021.

I called approx. 10 companies to quote my project. Full replacement of a leaking flat roof with a trussed, pitched roof along with demo of a poorly-built Florida room that had no insulation, A/C or electricity. Pretty big project beyond a simple renovation, but definitely smaller than building a new house.
Only got 5 return phone calls. 2 rejected job upon description (too small? too big?), one came to look and turned me down. Another showed up and proceeded to focus on everything "wrong" in my house besides the project. Then there was David Matson.
