I was working a little bit longer in Bethesda today than I anticipated, and I had a craving for a grilled cheese sandwich. I decided to look at restaurants in the area that was within walking distance from my job, and I settled on Heckman's Deli. I was especially excited to try the grilled cheese BLT sandwich meal, and so I ordered that for pickup through Uber Eats. It was ready within 10-15 minutes, and I couldn't wait to eat it. Unfortunately, when I got to the sandwich, I discovered that it was just a plain grilled cheese sandwich. No bacon, lettuce, tomato, or mayo. I was utterly confused and

I ordered the chicken salad on sourdough and it delicious fresh ingredients and prepared like I requested. I also ordered the chips and chicken noodle soup both were delicious. It was a Doordash order and it was packaged and received fresh and hot. Food was great this was my first time trying but it definitely won't be the last. Thank you

Recently had one of the worst experiences of any restaurant I have been to in Bethesda.
My wife and I have come here maybe 1-3 times a month for the past two years, but will now never be coming back.
The cashier overcharged us for our take out order. When we tried getting the order fixed, the cashier progressively got more and more freaked out and began insulting us repeatedly. In the end, the cashier took away all the receipts so we have no idea what we were charged, which is a mute point as the sheer level of anger the cashier showed made us throw away the food - not trusting it after the cashier

I am so sick and tired of dealing with places like this! I gave very simple instructions on making my very simple Italian sub. Although it seems it was too difficult to get even half of it right. They forgot the lettuce the oil and vinegar, my chips that I paid for and now I get to starve because that was my lunch break and now I no longer have any time to eat because I waited for what looked like the most pathetic sub I have ever seen. I didn't even try it but considering everything they left out, not to mention I'm from New Jersey and I know what a real sub looks like!!! I run a multi million

Over the past three months, the quality of the food and service have deteriorated badly. The last three orders, given either in person or over the phone, were incorrect on several items each. An example was that when we ordered stuffing, we were given the uncooked ingredients. We are not returning again.

I ordered a grilled chicken breast sandwich on sourdough to go, for which they forgot to add onions and cheese (which I paid extra for). The service was also slow for being empty this afternoon. Worst of all, the chicken was VERY undercooked (dark pink/purple hues, didn't even realize until after I ingested a big part of it). I was very disappointed with the meal, and will be going back after my work shift to ask for a refund.
The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the ladies at the front taking my order were very kind.
