Emily and her practice is an ideal combination of clinical and caring. I get regular acupuncture and cupping treatments for poor sleep and back and neck pain, both of which are improved due to treatment. Part of our sessions include discussion of symptoms and corresponding lifestyle tweaks that also help. It works.

Dr. Yimin has been taking care of me since 2010. I have gone to him for numerous issues over the years. From sinus infections, shingles, stiff neck, sore joints, high blood pressure or a general tune up. Dr Yimin is an expert in his field, very professional & truly cares about helping his patients. Dr. Yimin is also a professional herbologist! I highly recommend this practice!

I called to make an appointment and I was very polite. They didn’t have anything for the day I called. I explained that I had to do it that day before IVF treatments, so I would have to try to find another place. The lady straight up hung up on me. That should show what this place is really all about.

Orthopedic issues that physicians had no answers for were treated in one visit, chronic muscle tension relieved in an hour, and stopping a cold/virus dead in it's tracks are some of the issues I have experienced positive results on. This is my first experience with acupuncture. I thought it was very beneficial. After three visits my lower back pain is almost gone. Very happy with the doctor. Office is very clean and inviting. Staff is very helpful also.

Yimen has done absolutely amazing things for me. I've had chronic migraine for about four years and he is the only one that has been able to help. I live in Southern Illinois and travel 7.5 hours to see him. He's amazing! The staff is always kind and courteous also!!

The acupuncturist does a great job and obviously cares about his patients. The treatments seem to help. However, I have waited a long time to be treated.

I have received acupuncture treatments here on and off for a number of years. I have always received pleasant, knowledgeable and good care. I was getting acupuncture from a different provider, prior to trying Family Acupuncture. While the other provider was good, I found Family Acupuncture to be better. Even though I have to drive about 50 minutes to get there, and the other provider was local to me, I feel it is worth the drive. I have referred friends to them and will continue to do so. If you are afraid of needles because you think they are painful, Yimin Xu, is very skilled. I hardly notice

This place (and Yimin) is what made me believe in acupuncture years ago. He fixed my neck after a snowboarding accident in 2003 (the pain was gone the minute I got off the table!). Since then I have sought acupuncture treatment for any tricky health situation (hormonal issues, getting over colds (even really bad tonsillitis), and healing from a surgery) and have always been happy with the results. Yimin is the real deal and is compassionate to boot! I haven't seen his wife, but I'm sure she's great too. I don't even live in Urbandale anymore, but anytime I need some help
