We have been serving the Lowcountry since 1969. We offer custom trailer hitches, installation, tow bars, base plates, sway and brake controls, transmission coolers, weight distribution kits, travel racks, cargo carriers, bike carriers, hitch balls and ball mounts, and 5th wheel gooseneck and wiring.
5th wheel trailers have become very popular for a variety of reasons. Equipping a vehicle for this type of specialized towing requires planning. Since the trucks of today are designed around comfort and limited utility, the challenge is usually providing an attachment point in the truck bed that provides clearance as you maneuver the trailer.
This unique towing situation creates the need for some specific additional systems. Although there are many good braking systems, Corbin's recommends SMI Braking Systems. Dinghy braking systems are always recommended and in some states are required. Connecting the motorhome to the vehicle being towed is serious business and Corbin's provides years of experience and installation support to assure you dinghy.
At Corbin's, we have a little bit of everything, as it relates to the world of trailering. I am traveling vendor and their team was at the at the Charleston Boat Show and that’s where I met their team. I work for a small business based in Tennessee and had to make a trip to Florida.
My running lights were not working on my trailer and I had previously taken it to three different mechanics and there wasn’t a single one that could solve the problem.
Corbin’s shop fixed it in 30 minutes. They have a great team and they worked very hard in a short amount of time to solve a complicated issue.

Family owned business with knowledgeable professionals. I purchased a camper trailer and found that the hitch that was installed by the dealer was not setup correctly. And, the electric brake controller also was the wrong type for the trailer I have.

WOW!!!! JUST WOW!!!
I needed my trailer fixed at the last minute on a Friday afternoon, so I could take it to Charlotte on Saturday Morning.. The owner Steve walked out and evaluated the repairs and let me know that the trailer needed more work than he could do on a Friday afternoon.
So he let me borrow a personal trailer of his without blinking an eye, and all based on a handshake.
Steve saved the day!!! I've NEVER had better service and what an amazing gesture of kindness..not enough stars to properly rate this company.

WOW! What a great experience! Took my 16 ft boat trailer to Corbins and they replaced the lights and the wiring. They were so polite, work was well above average - no kidding! The wiring materials were the highest quality I have ever seen and the plug was heavy duty. They also fabricated some braces for the lights at the back of the trailer which were fantastic. The price was solid too! Don't have experiences like this every day. Thanks CORBIN'S!

I went in to get a hitch placed on my Highlander so I could haul my new bike around with me and they were so friendly and efficient!!! I bought a bike rack off Amazon and for some reason I couldn’t get it to fit in my hitch, so I brought it to Corbin’s and let them know the issue and see if they were able to help, well help they did! They figured out one of the bolts on my bike rack wasn’t sliding like it should and not only did they fix it but also helped me mount it in place!!! We were travelling down from Canada in a motorhome and I noticed that the rear portion of our trailer hitch (where it attached to the frame) had bent, either because of the towing load we were putting on it, or from whatever the previous owner had done with it. I needed a spare tire carrier fabricated for my motorcycle trailer. Based on the on-line reviews, Corbin’s was the # 1 option and I was not disappointed. These guys are terrific! Lynn made ordering parts and scheduling the installation very easy. Hunter did the installation. When I came to pick up my Jeep (tow bar and hitch installed), Hunter took the time to walk me through what he did and how to attach the tow bar. I left there knowing exactly what to do to tow my Jeep behind my RV. Lynn and Hunter showed me that they really cared about the work they performed. I highly recommend them!

Wow. I was left in the lurch by a different company without any warning, and it was about to cause me some serious problems with our upcoming move. I purchases a 5th wheel hitch and bed rails for my Ford F-250 Truck . Corbin's installed these and I went home satisfied.
Only when I went on "YouTube" and saw a video of a truck destroyed due to the hitch breaking loose; did I begin to investigate mine.
It seems the distributor who provided Corbin's with my 20,000 lb capacity 5th wheel hitch only provided rails that

I am from Kansas City MO and just moved here to manning SC as of 4/8/16 and I triple tow and travel the US building stores, I was at Tanger mall doing a small project and needed some help with my 2nd jeep I tow and my small trailer. i called several shops in the area and got referred to them. Just had a great experience at Corbin's, and had to tell someone about it. I was having trouble getting my old license plates off my car, so I walked across the street to Corbin's to see if they had any advice. Without a moments hesitation, owner Steve told me to get the car and bring it over. Within five minutes the guys there figured a way to get the old plate off and secure the new one, including supplying the parts. They wouldn't accept any payment at all, and in fact, gave me a welcome to the neighborhood bag. These guys are the real thing...I've never dealt with anyone

They did the RIGHT thing! We are RV full-timers passing through and needed to have our Brake Assist (Air Force 1) installed. It was apparent Corbin's installer knew what he was doing but unfortunately he cut the brake light cord too short and neglected to install a 2nd Check Valve. Well, over the next month we encountered several problems on the road as a result of this. I finally called Corbin's, spoke with Steve Corbin who couldn't have been nicer and more professional when I explained the problems. Long story short, without the need for me to provide do-over repair receipts

I made an appointment to have the electrical connections on my trailer hitch inspected and replaced. All of the staff here are very helpful and knowledgeable. They are very busy but got me on my way very quickly. The price was decent, also. I see why all of the hitches in Charleston say Corbin's on them. Recommended!

We highly recommend Corbin's Trailer Hitch Service! We visited and called 4 other places to help us with a simple issue on why our brake lights and turn signals no longer worked when we hooked our Jeep up to our Motorhome. They have always worked fine for almost a year since we bought the Jeep in 2014. We started trouble shooting the situation ourselves and figured out the problem was in the Jeep. After being turned down by 3 other businesses because they were to busy or didn't want to mess with it, we were referred to Corbin's by a U-Haul business. We called and they could help

I called to price a hitch and received a lot of friendly help about determining what my choices were. I was able to make an appointment for installation. It took them all of 30 minutes to install the hitch and I was good to go. I read a review that addressed a concern about the location in North Charleston, but I felt perfectly safe. And, Corbin's was slightly less expensive than U-Haul.
