Born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, tattoo artist Jesse Zarate started off in the art world while studying at the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago. Today, the human body is his canvas. His art draws from multiple influences and styles. Zarate's black & grey and color compositions are inspired by his active imagination, modern pop culture, history, and timeless religious traditions.
The most common question I have heard regarding tattooing is, does it hurt? Everyone's tolerance is different so the level of pain really varies with each person. Yes, it does hurt but it is tolerable. It is sort of a "scratching feeling". The beauty of a professional tattoo and the pride associated with it far outweighs the needle pokes here and there.

One of the main reasons I went on this trip to Vegas was to get a tattoo from Jesse. He certainly did not disappoint. His shop was very clean & he was very professional & easy to talk to. My tattoo turned out better than expected. Super detailed & exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend getting a tattoo from Jesse.

Don't let the haters who couldn't get in in an hour sway your opinion. That is not how getting a tattoo works. Jesse is awesome. I had him do my very first tattoo last year and just went back to get my 2nd. He did an amazing job! The detail work is stunning!! I love it. I am going to work on getting my next one set up. His shop is spotless. He is just a laid back guy who does great art! I highly highly highly recommend him!!
