Services
My name is Brandi Tarver. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Gottman Therapist. I have over 12 years of experience in private practice. Throughout the years, I have worked with couples, individuals, children and families in a variety of settings.
Brandi Tarver MA, LPC, LMFT is certified in the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy. The Gottman Method was developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman to apply the insights gained from their research to the task of helping couples. Over the past 40 years, they have studied thousands of couples. From their research, we now know how to help couples have successful relationships and how to understand and avoid relationship pitfalls.
Brandi Tarver MA, LPC, LMFT offers marathon (or "intensive") couples' therapy for couples that wish to get started on the therapy process immediately, versus coming to weekly sessions. She will spend 15-20 hours with a couple over the course of 2-3 days. These extended sessions offer the opportunity to process your issues in an in-depth way without running out of time.
Because each client is different and unique in regard to their concerns, Brandi Tarver will use the method of therapy that she believes will help you meet their individual goals in the best manner possible. The methods that she typically employs are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Brandi Tarver MA, LPC, LMFT presents the Bringing Home Baby workshop to help couples adjust to life as parents. She says, I began teaching this workshop in 2015 because I was seeing a phenomenon happen before my eyes with couples that were new to parenthood. I remember being around some children at my daughter's school and hearing that a one-year-old would be spending the weekend with his dad because the parents were no longer together.

Brandi Tarver is an excellent therapist. She helped me through a really awful time in my life. She is attentive and kind, while calling out things that need changing or ways to handle situations better.

I was referred to Brandi by some close friends who saw her to help fix their marriage after an affair. I would have never believed that a relationship could look better after that, until I had to see her to work on my own marriage issues. She uses the gottman method, which is amazing. My husband even felt comfortable with therapy. I can honestly say thanks to her, our marriage is better than ever.
