Dr. Torie's Dental Shoppe is a premier "Green Dental Practice" in Northwest Indiana. We strive to use eco-friendly and practices in as many ways that we can. For example, our cotton products and patient bibs made from biodegradable materials.
It is our goal to reduce the amount of disposables we generate in a clinical day by finding innovative ways to conserve materials and utilizing alternatives that can be sterilized such as glass dishes, metal impression trays and digital x-rays.We are also proud to provide a state-of-the-art facility for the highest quality dental care available.

Dr. Viktoria "Torie" Cox certainly brings a refreshing artistic flare to dentistry. It is apparent that she puts so much love into her practice from the comfort of the waiting room, to the warmth and genuine kindness she shows each and every patient. Dr. Torie truly treats the "whole person". Dr. Torie is a Munster High School graduate.
Stormy Garber is Dr. Torie's Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA). Stormy earned her certificate in Dental Assisting from Everest College and received her EFDA Certification through Dr. Williamson's program in 2011. Stormy is Dr. Torie's right-hand gal during all of her dental procedures. She loves being a part of the restorative team and working along side Dr. Torie to improve patients' smiles.
Sensitive teeth often come from the fact that your gums have slightly receded. This recession of the gum line allows the underlying dentin to show through which allows water and food easier access to the sensitive nerve. To manage this, there are a number of toothpastes, gels and even some dental procedures that can be applied.
It is important to follow instructions after you have oral surgery to ensure proper healing and to avoid complications. As a rule of thumb, you should always wait two hours after surgery before eating to let the anesthesia wear off. Trying to eat before this could result in soft tissue damage because you are not able to feel all of your mouth.

Dr. Torie and staff are 💯 over 💯. We are producers of healthcare as a family with a gaggle of children and we had had nothing but wonderful experiences there. Patience, Grace, Kindness, and Understanding only begin to describe this place. As parents, we delayed bringing our children to the dentist because we were not able to find a dentist we… trusted. Dr. Torrie's is the best. My 2 and 4 year old love going to the dentist because they are so fun and make them feel comfortable. I've had a lot of work done as well, She was able to fill a large cavity that I was sure would need a crown and given me advice on how to take car of my teeth better that no other dentist educated me on. Her staff is so nice and goes out of their way to make sure we're well taken care of. I started going, but now my kids, husband, parents, and my sister's family all go too!

After going out of their way to accommodate my schedule, Dr. Torie and staff treated my infected tooth in a most compassionate, professional and pain-free manner. I was released with appropriate medication and detailed care instructions. Dr. Torie called to check on me later in the day to ensure that my pain level was adequately managed and also to reiterate care instructions. This was my first visit at the Dental Shoppe but I was delighted to schedule my next appointment, not for further urgent treatment but because it is worth driving from my rural, central Indiana home to continue to receive
