Terrible place to have a loved one. Short staffed. Rooms not cleaned. Bed not changed. Dont clean patients that are in diaper well. Threatened to put my family member in a wheelchair in hallway so he couldn't use the call button. Brought food in, but wouldn't assist in feeding patient. Left patient unattended in restroom, and patient wasn't able to walk back to bed on his own for excessive amount of time. Every concern seemed to be someone else's responsibility. Dr would walk in, and walk out, without examining anything. Dr did not prescribe pain medicine for patient over the weekend, and family

My Mom received exceptional care following a hip fracture from a traumatic fall at home. The entire staff was helpful, friendly, attentive and caring. Her PT, OT, and speech therapists helped her regain strength and function within just 3 weeks so she could return home. Her medical team of nursing assistants, nurses and the nurse practitioner, was excellent. The facility did a good job working within the constraints of the mandatory COVID protocols. Special care and attention was given to my Dad with dementia when he came to visit her during visiting hours. Mom especially appreciated the opportunity

My grandpa was sent here because he got covid and needed help learning how to walk again. They moved the room phone away from his reach and wouldn't let our family bring his charger to charge his own phone. He got stage three Bed Sores because they didn't care enough to move him at all. Do not send your family to this horrible place.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Do not send your loved one to this facility! They are incompetent and unconscionable! They sent my dad back to the hospital and they did not tell us for 18 hours. He is 89 and in dementia. He had no clue where he was. How someone can do this to an elderly person just blows my mind. They said they did not have the paperwork For registration but I personally went to the facility and completed the paperwork with Brooke Phillips in Admissions. Yes, The same Brooke Phillips that completed a five star review below for her own company which shows they are trying to improve their

Mom is alive so they get two stars for that. Good luck having anyone pick up the phone. We stopped by to get moms room number on a Sunday. No one ever came to the door. I called no answer. Weekends has no administration. How is that possible?
I have tried to be patient. I called this am and left a message for Barbara. Talked with her two weeks ago about that went on that weekend.
Now I need to go over this past weekend.
I called back at 3:30 and she was out today. Oh really? So then I ask for someone in management because I have a complaint and they sent me off to a phone number they just rings

When we first came to Alabama we were simply amazed at the cleanliness of the facility and friendliness of the staff that worked there. Every detail of the care of moly mom was discussed and approved with and by me. They call every three months with her care plan and check to see if needs to be addressed. This is a great facility to entrust your family to.

I've sent my dad here for rehabilitation he says he loves it here, but the lack of communication and professionalism from the staff is why I have to give them a 3 and that's being nice.
Update:
I called this morning to speak to my dads nurse after being transferred 3 times with no answer, oh and getting hung up on... I left a message as of 3:45 pm today the only call I have received is from someone about this google review, very kind man but I still would like better communication.

It's 4:56pm and I still have not received a call from a nurse about my dad. So I don't feel bad leaving

My mother was in the hospital for a while and need to "get back on her feet" and lean to walk much better.
When I looked up Valley View online there were a few reviews that concerned me, but after meeting with the admin I was less worried.
Diet was important to my mother and she was able to get a specialized diet of fruit, nuts, vegetables and fish. The rehab staff worked with her daily and I could see improvement after only one week. She was able to go outside and sit as she loves to do, private rooms with cable TV so she was entertained. There was a phone in her room and the staff looked after
