1000 Islands Campgrounds
Welcome to the 1000 Islands Campground, in-between the villages of Alexandria Bay and Clayton in the 1000 Islands region of NY. We have sites for all kinds of camping, including daily, monthly, and seasonal rates. Most sites have up to a 50 amp service. We have sewer and non sewer sites. For our guests that have a non-sewer site, we offer two dump stations.

Along with RV sites, we also have Tent sites, Log Cabin rentals, and "Glamping Tent" rentals. We have playgrounds for younger campers, including our "Pirate Ship" Mis-behavin'.
Services
The Glidden & Gilbert family operate this family oriented campground. Among our amenities is playground equipment supplemented with a large wooden boat (Missbehavin'), Kidd's Kastle, and wooden Farmall tractor/hay wagon. Another wagon provides occasional hayrides around the campground. Our sites have their own picnic tables and many campers enjoy campfires in their fire rings.
Check in is 3 PM on the date of your reservation. We understand that you may arrive a bit early. In some cases the site may be available before 3 PM so please call ahead on the date of your arrival if you plan to arrive early so we can try to accommodate. Quiet time is from 10 PM to 8 AM and is strictly enforced for respect of others.
All of our back in Sites offer Water, Many have up to 50 Amp Service, and several have Sewer. Some of our back in sites only offer Water and Electric Service, though our guests can use the two Dump Stations we offer. All of our sites include a fire ring (firewood available for sale from the office) and a picnic table.
Our large, two room cabin on site 53 sleeps up to 5 people. It also has a large deck behind it for you to relax on, and is also where you will find your BBQ grill (propane & Charcoal), and picnic table. Our small one room cabins on sites 36A and 56 can accommodate up to three people and includes a small coffee maker, microwave oven, and small refrigerator.
Imagine, pulling into your campsite, and your tent is already set up! At the 1000 Islands Campground we have two "Glamping Tents" featuring a large deck, furnished with chairs to relax on and enjoy your time camping. There are also the standard offerings such as a fire pit, picnic table, and water/electric at the site post.

Fabulous campground and hosts. Extremely accommodating, very friendly and remarkable at their attention to details. Nicest and cleanest bathrooms I've experienced at campgrounds. Our tent camping site was large, surrounded by scrub trees and private.

Great place, location and VERY nice owners. We had a great time camping and exploring Alexandria Bay. Golf carts are welcome and people respect quiet hours. Cant wait to go back!

Have come here the past few years . This year had a problem with some really loud people. And was no way to get a gold of anyone emailed then , finally had to call the cops to get them to stop partying. I will still be back but really hope they get a better system for a patrol at night .

Super clean and well maintained. RV sites are fairly small and close. Not the most privacy, but everyone was super friendly (staff and campers). We chose here because it was not crazy expensive and didn't need all the fancy amenities of a resort type facility. Bathrooms and showers were cleaned constantly. Convenient store at the entrance with great sandwiches, baked goods (pies!!), and ice cream.

Picked this place last minute and very unhappy with what they offer in the campground and with their customer service. I had to leave for a work emergency and they denied partial or full refund. It seemed like a gimmick, they wouldn’t answer the phones and when we got an reply they passed it on to someone else like the manager then the owner and so on. This was definitely the worst camping experience I’ve ever had. They don’t offer any events onsite, pick another campsite because these guys definitely are not caring for customers. We are army employee from fort drum and believe me this place

Very clean, excellent location, friendly staff, quiet campground. Great places to walk, the path to the state park is a huge plus. These folks really k ow how to take care of this campground and it shows. Love coming to freshly mowed sites with cleaned out fire pits. The sites are a little
tight but that is everywhere these days. Great place for your thousand islands adventures.

Very clean and well maintained.
The staff was very helpful when we needed a ladder. Good ice cream at gals place right at the campground. We particularly liked the path connecting the campground with Grass point state park which has a beach.
Highly recommend this place.

Very nice campground, Hopefully you won’t experience rude people playing music loudly on their speakers after “quiet time” , but if you do , alert the campground host and they are quick to respond. Great place for kids, even better place for anglers, like my husband and son. Located conveniently to St. Lawrence River. Highly recommended.

Very nice campground. Everything can be done online so you don't need to talk to anyone. It is central to a lot of places in the Wellesley Island/Alexandria Bay area.
We had full hookups so didn't have to use the facilities but they seemed decent. There were cabins and tents that looked well maintained.
There is a small food/ice cream shop right at the entrance but go on an off time. They were very busy after dinner when we wanted ice cream!
Owner is very nice. They have firewood for sale right there as well. We had cell service for AT&T and Verizon.

Overall a very Nice campground , grounds are meticulously kept and very very clean. Sites are Very level gravel spots. One bathroom and bathhouse also spotless. Only drawback , sites are small and your fire pit is pretty much on top of your neighbors sewer line not all of them but a few , we did ask to move our fire pit and they did let us move it over a bit from it but they really should move them to the front of the sites and not keep them in the back where the sewer lines are. There is a small playground for the kids but no pool. There is a path you can walk to Grassy Point State Park where
