First time in the restaurant. I loved it. The food was delicious and coffee was good. I like to go to where you can get food that is different. Not your regular soup and sandwich. What I really liked about the cafe, is you can get a cup of soup and half a sandwich. You can't do that everywhere. I've already been there again and was just as pleased with my lunch.

Stopped in yesterday for breakfast. The blueberry Danish was extremely stale, the replacement they gave me was microwaved for 10 seconds and then it became hard as a rock as well.
My date ordered a gluten free muffin and it was stale as well. The floors were dirty and there was a cigarette but inside the dining area on the floor. Wouldn't recommend to anyone

UPDATE: At least the owner of this business does get back to you promptly. I stand corrected on the blue cheese dressing as they don't carry it, sorry about that. I'm all about supporting local and people should never base their decision to patronize a business based on one person's experience or tastes.
I really want to like this place, but I don't think I've ever had a pastry that was good (dry...stale?). Their sandwiches and soups are tasty, but pricey. As far as salads go, I definitely don't care for their ranch or blue cheese dressings (bottled?) and the chicken on the salad was very skimpy

This is one of my favorite places in Meadville! The food is so good and the service is fast. I love the match refreshers and the chillouts are delightful and very reasonably priced. I would definitely choose to come here for cafe drinks, rather than a well known chain. Their ultimate grilled cheese is to die for. I'm not even that into grilled cheese, but their's is so decedent and full of smokey flavor. This is also a great place to go if you have dietary restrictions. They have gluten free, vegeterian, and dairy free options that are clearly labeled. Love this place!
