Easy to get to the office with adequate parking. Checking in for my appointment was easy and well organized. I felt comfortable when the doctor introduced himself as " Sam" without a white coat.
The first part of the appointment was dedicated to an informal discussion of the doctor getting to know me, and allowed me in a relaxed way to tell him why I was there. After a complete discussion of the issues involved, doctor Sam outline what the next phase of the examination would be, I felt the options he presented were relisted and I fully agreed with his recommendations. It was a great visit.

Dr. Gyllenhoff has been my choice for family dental care for more than 20 years which is a testament to the exceptional care she gives her patients. I have also grown very fond of the hygienists and the front office staff over the years, and they are, without exception, professional and friendly. I just made a switch to this practice. The week before my scheduled first appointment, I had an issue that needed urgent treatment, though I was not yet an established patient. They fit me in immediately. I had my scheduled appointment today. Everyone in the office is extremely nice and calming, which is important to me as I have some dental anxiety ;-). The exam was thorough and I did not feel rushed. I walked away feeling like they genuinely care and are invested in my health. Highly recommend.

There are plenty of excellent dentists in Northern Virginia, but what I love about this place -- beyond its professionalism -- is that the patient and his/her preferences clearly comes first. We all know medical professionals who talk down to their patients; this team treats patients with great respect and listens and as well as talks. Very refreshing!
