My experience there was really positive. The waiting time wasn't excessive, perhaps a little long but I would rate Dr. Simic very highly. I liked the fact that unlike a physician assistant I'd seen before, he administered three cortisone injections whereas the P.A. was rather conservative only doing one out of concern for the cortison and then having me return three weeks later for a second shot. I understand his concern but Dr. Simic wouldn't have done the three if he'd also been that concerned about any unwelcome side effects.

I joined my frail mother to her appointment in Thousand Oaks office staff were preoccupied on their phones, guess it was social media time. The staff were engaging in personal gossip and appeared unsupervised. We were waiting in lobby enduring the unruly displays by staff. It’s quite unfortunate UCLA has teamed up with such a sloppy company. Quite unfortunate to say the least.

Dr Spelts might be a good doctor if you only have one body part that is giving you problems, but if you have multiple problems, like a more extensive sports injury or accident, you will have to have multiple appointments in order for your body to be taken care of properly. They are so restricted in the time allotted for each patient that only one body part can be taken care of a time. As a new patient, their scheduler made an appointment for my back and neck. Upon arrival to the office and filling out a huge amount of papers for both of these body parts, I was told the scheduler made a mistake

I had one visit with the ortho surgeon and physical therapy after that. The billing is exceptionally outrageous AND my condition did not improve. Granted, I have a high deductible, but you will be teamed with the therapy aide half the time. Save yourself a ton of money and attend a facility where you know the costs up front. Here the charges are about $600 per visit for PT after the initial evaluation. Attending this facility was a huge and costly mistake.

The management of this facility does not deserve any star.
My wife is paraplegic and wheelchair bound; she had an appointment at 1:15 pm, 13 August 2020.
We never receive any instructions for this appointment. Once we got there, we were surprised to learn that I can't stay with her, not even in the waiting lobby that was full of empty seats; I was asked to go outside the facility to stay in my car on this hot day or on the benches out of the drop in - pick up area. Being considerate to the environment and not willing to keep my car's engine and the air conditioning running, I picked the second

If I could give less than one star for SCOI in Van Nuys I would. This place doesn't deserve to have even one star.
I fell in a street and had some scars on my left hand and my left knee. I saw Dr Gazmarian (who is not a surgeon) at SCOI in Van Nuys a week after to make sure I don't have any broken bones.
I have Cigna PPO for my health insurance. Two weeks after I received a bill of $535 from UCLA Health for my 5 minutes office visit with no break-down of why I am being charged so high. I was shocked. I had never had such a big bill from an orthopedic office for just a short visit. They charged

The rudest receptionist ever! We checked in for Dr. Niska on the morning of 6/5/20 and the lady at the front was so unbelievably rude! I cannot believe she has a job. It makes his practice look awful! When we gave her our paperwork all she said was no your here for Megan Green. Not good morning or how are you or anything and I noticed with each patient she doesn’t greet them at all. Just grabs their paper and tells them to sit down. It is almost comical how utterly rude she is. I cannot believe this is allowed. We had no idea what she was referring to when she blurted out Megan Green. I guess

I had back surgery and my doctor is Todd Moldawer and he is my hero. I was walking and doing stairs the minute I woke up from surgery. I just got back from my second physical therapy session and I have never felt better. The staff at Valley Pres Hospital was excellent. I love the doctor's staff and if I have to wait to see them, it is well worth it. I work full time and my office understands.
