I was employed as a caregiver at Sonrisas for 1 year during 2020/21. I was so impressed with the level of quality, individualized care that every resident receives there! I can confidently say that during my year there I had only positive experiences with the staff and residents. Had I not been moving out of state I definitely would have stayed with Sonrisas because it truly did feel like I was part of the family💓

The moment my mother moved into Sonrisas she felt at home. It was the best environment for her as she was well taken care of and loved. Mom didn’t feel alone since she had friends to share with and enjoyed her healthy family style meals. She felt at peace and safe. I highly recommend Sonrisas!

You cannot get much better than having a one to four ratio of 24 hour care in a home environment with homecooking for a beloved parent! There is much love and laughter and gentle care given to each Resident there. I've recently retired from working there for years and have left with nothing but wonderful memories.

We visited Sonrisas last year. The staff welcomed us warmly, and I found the facility to be very clean and organized. The residents had exceptional care from the experienced team. My experience was that Sonrisas management and staff treat everyone like family. This place is a real gem!

My aunt lived at Sonrisas for almost 10 years. She was so very well taken care of--not just physically, but emotionally too! The care was exceptional--dietary, medically and personally. The extras went above and beyond--golf cart rides on the bike trail to have lunch in Mt. Horeb, pontoon rides, pedal bicycles, movies, custard trips, etc., etc., etc. Sonrisas is classified as an adult family home, but it is much, much more like a home. Kathy and her team have been great. Every time I have been to Sonrisas I see them treating the residents with respect and kindness. She works so hard to provide them with fun activities and has been great at getting the community involved in talking to the residents and interacting with them.

I started volunteering at Sonrisas this past Summer. What impressed me the most is the positive energy and passion the owner shares with everyone around her which makes this place very special for the residents. I can truly feel the dedication each employee brings to this home, and I was a witness of the deep care the residents are treated with by each Sonrisa's employee . Sonrisas, as the Spanish name means, is a place where you stay smiling all the time. Thank you Kathy for providing the best care to the residents and volunteers. Our families' experience with Sonrisas has been very positive. The owner lives on the premises. She does everything she can to personalize the care of each resident. She also addresses any concerns promptly and works in cooperation with any outside caregivers such as Hospice. Each resident has their designated comfy chair in the shared living room. I am greatly pleased with the care and support my family members and I have received over the years from Sonrisas. My father was a resident at Sonrisas for 5 years until his passing. During that time, Sonrisas staff and the owner, Kathy, made his experience meaningful and filled with so many more activities (that weren't even an option at a prior facility). Sonrisas is a great place to work and an amazing place for residents to live at. My boss Kathy cares so much about all her caregivers and cares a lot especially about the residents. The residents are given phenomenal care at all times. Ever since I started working at Sonrisas, all my co workers and Kathy have been very welcoming.
