Services
At your child's first visit we will introduce your Child to the concepts of preventive dental care. At every exam we will review your child's health history; take any necessary x-rays; clean your child's teeth; conduct a thorough clinical examination of your child's mouth, palate, gums, tongue and teeth.
Cost of treatment will depend on the severity of the patient's treatment needs. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We work hard to make pediatric dental care in Kansas City affordable and make sure that you realize your insurance benefits. We accept assignment from most insurance companies.

This was my daughter’s first dental exam, the whole experience went great! Our dental hygienist was very sweet and did great with explaining everything before she did it which helped my 3.5yo stay calm and happy. Dr Thomas was very nice, fun, and knowledgeable. I’m not worried about taking her in the future to our visits there. In the words of my 3.5yo “mom that was fun!” so happy it went well!

Today was my 21-month- old daughter's first visit to the dentist; it exceeded my expectations! That office is a well-oiled machine! We were in and out so quick, which was great for my little one's temperament. Not to mention the staff were absolutely lovely with how they interacted with my daughter! Dr. Thomas and the dental assistant were excellent!!! I'm so glad my sister referred me to this practice!

I cannot say enough amazing thing about this office! The staff are extremely friendly and patient with little ones. Dr. Thomas is wonderful with little ones that are scared/timid. My 3 year old daughter had two cavities filled today and was so scared but Dr. Thomas took the time and showed her all the tools explained everything gave her tons of praise. He made the entire experience so great for her. We won’t go anywhere else! Thank you so much Shoal Creek Pediatrics Dentistry!

Shoal Creek Dentistry is absolutely amazing! I was so nervous to bring my son to the dentist and as soon as I got there it was the best experience! The office staff from the front desk to the doctor are all amazing, sweet and make it such a fun experience for the kids! I would recommend this place to everyone!

Every minute of my son's visit was pleasant. My son has special needs and we were really worried about how it would go, but Dr. Thomas and the hygienist were nothing but patient and kind to me and my son. I had a lot of questions and opinions about treatment options for a cavity and Dr. Thomas took the time to hear to me out and answer everything. He respected my wishes and did not try to change my mind or ask me to defend my position. They were both so genuine in their interaction with us and I recommend them, especially if your kiddo has special needs or sensory processing challenges.
