Dr. Goel has over 25 years of experience in providing care for the diseases of the digestive tract. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Ajay Goel delivers comprehensive and compassionate patient care. He is highly regarded in the community and Rome Memorial Hospital for his commitment to his patients.
Colonoscopy is a procedure used to see inside of the colon and rectum. Colonoscopy detects inflamed tissues, ulcers, and abnormal growths. This procedure looks for early signs of colorectal cancer and helps doctors diagnose unexplained changes in bowel habits, abdominal pain, bleeding and weight loss.
Often occurring after meals, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, also known as GERD, is the back flow of stomach acid into the esophagus, the tube which connects the mouth and stomach. While many people may experience acid reflux from time to time, those who suffer from GERD experiecne this much more often.

Unprofessional and only worried about their bottom line $$$. I reached out multiple times regarding an initial video consultation charge, in which Dr Goel was over 20 minutes late. I ended up hanging up, at which point his Office Manager "Wife" called me to ask why I never logged in and suggested that I log back in (which I did). Needless to say, when you schedule time off for an appointment, the expectation is that Physician is on time, as is expected of the patient. 20 minutes of waiting for a 5 minute consultation with a $250 dollar charge. Moral of the story, my time isn't any less valuable

One of the shortest wait times I've ever had in a doctor's office. Dr. Goel's office called me the day I was referred to him, which is nice because I was told it could take up to two weeks to get an appointment. His staff was very professional and kind. I needed a procedure done, he worked around my schedule to fit it in. He answered all my questions and had no problem explaining in more detail issues I was having. All around I feel I'm in capable hands.
