Melissa has been a part of Dr. Hughes' practice for 11 years. She is a graduate of the Rio Salado College for Dental Hygiene. Melissa has a gentle and caring chair side manner and her patients love coming to see her. Melissa and her spouse James have 2 children, Lily & Jay, and enjoy family activities together.

There's nothing to fear with a dental exam. Your teeth will be visually examined for signs of plaque, tartar and tooth decay. Your gums will also be examined for puffiness or discoloration, which are signs of gum disease. A full set of dental X-rays may also be taken during your dental exam, to enable your dentist to see below the surfaces of your teeth.
Implants are often used to replace dental bridges or partial dentures, or to provide support for dentures. Dental implants offer several advantages over other tooth replacement options. They look, feel and function just like real teeth! With dental implants, surrounding teeth are left untouched. Finally, dental implants are exceptionally reliable.
In the past, dental procedures were often not only costly, but time consuming as well. It was not unusual for several visits to be necessary in order to accomplish the treatment plan with proper results. Fortunately as technology has improved, the long delays and strenuous appointment keeping have become things of the past.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hughes for many years. I came to Dr. Hughes after several horrible experiences with other dentists in the Phoenix area. By the time I met Dr. Hughes, I had PTSD from my past experiences . The minute I met Dr. Hughes, he made me feel calm and relaxed. He made me feel like I had just come home. Dr Hughes has taken amazing care of me and my family. I highly recommend Dr. Hughes to everyone I know. He goes above and beyond. I am so grateful to have him as my lifelong dentist.

I started seeing Dr Hughes for over 10 years. I came to him asking him to pull my back tooth. I had been to so many dentists. They would drill out and refill and was always in pain. He asked me if he could do a gold inlay to save tooth. I decided to try one more time. And sooo thankful I trusted him. No pain and I still have my tooth. Since then he has taken amazing care of my teeth and my children's. This is the dentist to go to.so thankful I found him.

I love Dr.Hughes and all the staff! I have had some terrible dental experiences prior to coming to this office almost 10 years ago! He is always on time, gentle, and understanding of my ridiculous anxiety at times. They are accommodating and caring and really go above and beyond to take care of their patients!

Dr. Hughes was referred to our family by my son's pediatric dentist Dr. William Heimann. I'm super particular about my dentist and have to trust them completely. Dr. Hughes and his lovely staff have been taking care of my 6 month cleanings and dental exams since then, and I recently became an orthodontia patient of his as well! The care I receive there is nothing less than spectacular...from the friendly smiles that greet me as I walk in, to no wait times in the lobby, to early office hours that accommodate every schedule, to the crowns made SAME DAY

I have crappy tooth genetics. I have had so much dental work in my life I have totally lost track. I also have been known to attract some of the worst dentists. This year I thought it would be good to get a fresh start with a completely new dentist and leave the chain I was previously going to that had new doctors every time I went. Instead of hunting around online or calling my insurance company, I sought out a friend who is in the dental field. My friend recommended me to Dr. Hughes and I couldn't be happier.
