Welcome to the Winery at the Long Shot Farm, an idyllic place just north of Carlisle, PA. The Winery and tasting room are housed in a remodeled historic barn, surrounded by vineyards, a large pond and an amazing view of Blue Mountain. We invite you to stop by and sample our wines, made from grapes grown right here in the Cumberland Valley, one of the American Viticulture Areas.
We also offer wine slushies and a selection of cheeses, meats, crackers and chips. We believe that "Wine is Made in the Vineyard", and that high quality grapes are the first step toward making great wine. Our vineyards are located in the Cumberland Valley viticulture area and currently include the hybrid varieties' Vidal Blanc, Corot Noir, Chambourcin, Traminette and Chardonel and the American varieties Concord and Niagara.

Services
Like the debutante at her own ball exhibiting her virtue, this is a crisp off-dry wine, showcasing a pure white grape profile with a lemon finish. With a clean crisp acidity, slightly chilled this wine puts forth a peachy semi-sweet palate, with hints of melon. Summer blend incorporates our Vidal Blanc grapes with locally grown apples.
This blend of Chambourcin Rose and Vidal acts as the cousin to the Rose, the one you want to spend the reunion with. Drier, lively, a bit of a lemony acidic bite, but with the strawberry flavors still coming through.
As the crisp, brisk breeze of the arid Rocky Mountain top suggests a barren peak, the cherry and strawberry fruit flavors and lemony finish in Desert Rose will leave you just as astonished as finding that the dry frontier is a beautiful, bountiful elk country out west.If you know to hunt for it. This dry wine with its rosy color pairs well with sharp cheese and smoked pork.

Chambourcin and Blackberry, which is the bow, which is the arrow? One builds the foundation with a dark dried cherry profile, the other enlivens the wine with a shot of summer jam. A dangerous combination. Fletching refers collectively to the vanes attached to the end of an arrow. Traditionally, three such fin-shaped feathers made the arrow fly straight and true, if attached by a skilled fletcher.
We welcome you to stop by and sample some of our wines with a "splash in the glass", enjoy a flight of four selections of your choice, have a glass of wine or share a bottle with friends. We do offer a small assortment of cheeses and bologna, as well as crackers and chips. Juices, sodas, water and a few locally brewed beers are also available.
Stop by the winery during opening times or contact us to schedule a meeting at your convenience. We do have outside space available for rent, on the grass near the vineyard and farm pond. The cost varies, depending on the size of the group. We do have a canopy tent that can be set up as a 10 x 20 or 20 x 20, which accommodates groups up to 40.

Stopped by Long Shot last weekend on our way down I-81. What a great place to get off the highway and decompress for awhile. It's a cool little vineyard that makes pretty decent wine (the Corot Noir was my favorite). It's got a great deck with mountain views and plenty of lawn seating. The two women working the tasting bar could not have been nicer. Enjoy!

Very good wines. I could taste several and make a selection which i certainly did. Bring a chair if your coming for an event like live music.
I showed up on what turned out to be a busy event. I was asked if I wanted to try wines without much pressure. I ended up with a delicious flight and glasses more later. Pizza from a food truck and live music rounded our the experience.
If you're wondering if you should try it... Do.

Nice little winery about 5 miles outside of Carlisle! A little entertainment provided by a local artist! They do make wine slushees which is becoming the better half's favorite cooler.
I had a glass of chambourcin which is more like a pinot noir but not as dry! If you're looking for a nice and relaxing place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and some light entertainment this is as good as it gets! There are limited amounts of tables but your are encouraged to bring a portable chair if you would like!

Also, you can bring your chairs or blankets and be outside beside the pond. You will experience awesome service, great wine and even your little ones can have icee's and play outside on the grass. If you decide to visit, I'm sure you will have a great time.

We stumbled upon this newly opened winery in August a month after moving to the area. The vineyards were planted 10 years ago-total family operation. Love the wine, the people and the location. They are sponsoring local events from music to art to knitting. This is a place that enriches Carlisle-you won't regret visiting!!

Small quaint winery in Pennsylvania. We found this place while visiting my in-laws and we really enjoyed our visit! The views are amazing with the mountain horizons and gorgeous sunset. It is a family run place that is small but is growing. The wine is mostly sweet - local property grapes and blackberries make up the selection. Cheese and meats are available for purchase and are cheap for those who are budgeting. This place is worth checking out for locals or for visitors from all around! You won't be disappointed by the local PA vibes and welcoming faces of the staff! When you do get here
