Services
Come experience our winery and vineyard at SpringGate. We are family owned and located on 60 acres of farmland between the rolling hills of Lancaster County and Blue Mountain, near Harrisburg. We are in Lower Paxton township at the intersection of Interstate 83 and 81. A warm welcome awaits you at our tasting room, patios, and grounds.
While only a mile from exits of Interstate 81 and 83, this 60 acre farm estate is isolated by Nature from the vibrant community of people that surround it. From our Tasting Room - in a timeless Pennsylvania barn - to our grounds - which include vineyards, orchards, streams, patios, courtyards, paddocks and hop and beer gardens - SpringGate Vineyard is a special place.
The process of making wine can be called a science and an art. Each grape, and each style of wine, has slightly different variations of the process to accomplish this: plant grow, pick, crush, press, ferment, age, bottle. Each step has risk, which benefit from science, practice, and some "artistry."
Our dedicated tasting porch is now available Saturday and Sunday for tastings from noon to 6PM. No reservations are required. A manager's selection of seven wines which varies week to week are available along with a free tasting of a brewed or liqueur product. The porch is right beside our wine bottle shop in the "wine barn" should you find something that you would enjoy on the estate or to take home.
Here at SpringGate, we want you to have a very memorable, enjoyable experience. The whole experience for you to take in includes our wines, ciders, beers and distilled libations, our bucolic setting, beautiful music and, as part of our whole "cafe life" experience, delicious food. We have partnered with local restaurant/caterers and food trucks who we think are simply fabulous, and you will too.

In all honesty Spring Gate makes some good wines, great cider, and average beer. Unfortunately every time we visit the great times being had on this beautiful estate end when you realize your glass is empty and you need to go stand in line for an hour. Today, Glitter Fest, features two employees selling their bottles of wine (including the sought after glitter wine) as well as pouring cider, beer, wine, and slushies. There is also ONE employee pouring beer at the brewery. The lines are LONG. And I could only buy a 16oz beer, no Crolwers today. And during the summer, it's much worse. Buy in bulk

If you like mediocre wine and horrible customer service, this place is for you! I will not bore you with my laughable experience...thank goodness, we had great company with an equally good sense of humor. There is a saying that if you don't take care of your customers, your competitors will and unfortunately the only reason they remain in business is because there is no competition in the area. I truly doubt their most unhappy customers are their greatest sense of learning.

Love going here for trivia nights. The drinks and entertainment are good, but I have some beef. First, the bathrooms are in dire need of repair and renovation. They're a little 'yikes', and one of the bathroom doors has a giant hole that was punched into it, but luckily(??) the door is hollow so it only went through one side. A good rule of thumb: if you're a business that serves alcohol, have decent bathrooms with drunk-proof doors.
The second thing they've seemed to change for the better, so I removed it 👀 Let's keep it that way 💀

Our favorite place to kick back with a drink for an hour or so. We have been going to Springgate in Harrisburg long before any of the other locations opened. We like wine and beer and we're able to have both there. The food trucks...pretty awesome having a variety to choose from. The best part is the setting...on the farm land with grass and trees, while you relax with your date, drink and food!

The property itself is awesome. Plenty of places to sit and hang out. Giving it three stars due to a really rude bartender in the beer area. I know good help is hard to find right now but he’d at least make better tips if he wasn’t so rude. I would still recommend because the place itself is great just steer clear of rude staff

This is for the Spring Gate Arcona - which I think is the same wine as regular vineyard it's just an extension.
The wine, almost allll of the wine, is very sweet.
The "dry" wine is not dry. It's sweet.
The people and ambiance are awesome - but, some people like dry wine...
Hopefully owners will see this....and in future years create something dry.
Cheese plate could also use some work. It was fine - but it was just mild cheddar and some other type of non-interesting cheese.
We had fun, but wine was not our favorite.

Great atmosphere and drinks were great. Waiting at the food truck was a sore point because it too a long time . So if you are hungry eat before you get there because the wait is a long time before you even order.
Line waiting for a beer was long too because there was only one bar tender. Otherwise everything OK.

What a cool little place! We stopped in for a quick drink while out on the bike. Hubby had a Belgian beer that he loved, I had a nice sweet cider. Both were so refreshing on a hot day. We enjoyed the bands and relaxed in 2 of the numerous chairs located around the expansive property. It just has a chill vibe that invites you to sit and stay awhile. We'll be back for sure!

Spring Gate is such a fun place to hang out with friends and family! I especially like the food trucks they have on site such as 717 Tacos and Chef Tony's. My favorite thing to drink is their seasonal wine slushies. (Pro tip: Go on Wednesday and get them for $4!) During the summer months, the line can get pretty long, so be prepared!

This was such a pretty little stop. The wine we tasted was very yummy. We bought a bottle of the Sangria. We ordered some food and the portions were large and all very good. The watermelon salad was so good. It was also very safe and socially distant. We had just missed some live music. The back area smells like manure though. Yuck.

Cool venue, but if you're having events on weekends and expecting a crowd, you should probably have sufficient staff on-hand.
They do wine tastings in batches. We were told they were currently doing a tasting but we're almost done and we could join the next batch. After waiting around for 20 minutes, we gave up and went inside to stand in the bottle/tap line.
Another 25 minutes in line and we finally got drinks. The cashier didn't know anything about the wines (what is sweet, what is not) as she said she was only on her 2nd shift.
My wife and I don't like sweet wine, so we

Spring Gate is open year round. I used to like going there with friends but was recently turned off and will likely not return. Last time I went it was chilly and drizzling, but this did not put a damper on the visit at all. I simply asked the food truck vendor for an additional plate to shield my food from the rain. It was delicious and well worth a few rain drops. I brought my $15 "Spring Gate" souvenir wine slushee cup but decided it was too cold to have a slushee even at the happy hour rate given with the it.
When I left... I forgot my $15 cup on the table!!!!!!!!! I tried diligently

I came here after a suggestion from a fellow coworker who was from the area. Being from the Pittsburgh area we sadly don't have a lot of wineries in our area. The few options we have are either a drive away or they are small little shops. Part of me was expecting the same thing for this area but I was very shocked. This winery was absolutely beautiful.
We came on a Wednesday right after work and the outdoor area was already packed. It had people of all ages sitting around enjoying wine and each other's company. It was easy to see why this place was so well liked. Not only did they serve

Verdict: Spring Gate has a lot to offer.
Live music, food trucks, beer, and of course, wine. There's plenty to experience here and it's certainly worth checking out for yourself.
Tried a couple of wines, some custom concoctions, and two of their latest beers. The best part of the cocktails was probably trying to figure out the ingredients by taste. We started strong and ended up with some guessing for the subtle flavors.
Both wines were sweet. I'd try their savory varieties on a future visit. I'd never had our even heard of making a beer in a Cabernet barrel. You could certainly
