Smith Farm Market started In 1973 by Lot Smith, selling some of the best produce known to the state of Ohio. In 1986 he sold the market to his business partner Bill Kline, who continued to offer produce and fresh baked goods at the market. In 2003 Melissa Kinder came to work for Bill and in 2006 she ended up purchasing the bakery business.
Bill still continued to run the produce, while Melissa took over the little brick schoolhouse and made the bakery her own. She started her own business known as "Heavenly Treats", but still continued on the tradition of Smith's Famous Pies as well as adding in her own original family recipes.

God bless the baker. I called while driving on a DC-Michigan road trip about a pie for Ohio friends we were staying the night with. Heavenly was out of strawberry rhubarb pies but had others to pick from. I told the sales clerk we were about 45 minutes away and would come by for the cherry pie instead. Apparently the baker overheard our conversation and before she went home she made a S.R. pie just for us. That golden, warm, flakey goodness was a surprise waiting for us when we walked in. Heavenly’s kindness was as fabulous as their pie!!!! (And the pie was amazing!)

Heavenly treats has been my go to for homemade style baked pies. I use them every Thanksgiving and other events when a pie is needed because they are delicious. I have just recently started to explore their wine shop which features wines from all over the state of Ohio. Recently, I have been trying the summit winery wines which are sweet, fruity with a great finish. If your in the area I recommend you check it out.
