Book a Private Event for 6-24 area lumberjacks, (friends, family, co-workers) 24+ people give us a call! During the first 30 minutes, we coach your group to properly (and safely) throw axes like a lumberjack. Tournament: Go head-to-head with your friends until one of you emerges as the biggest bad axe.
We provide mobile axe throwing with our safe, contained, caged and portable throwing lanes. We staff your event and teach you how to chuck some axes -- and be a lumberjack (not really)!. Hold axe outward in front of you with the blade as straight as possible in relation to the target. Right handed throwers should put their left foot forward.

Services
LumberjAxes is Pittsburgh's first competitive axe throwing venue. Yes, competitive axe-throwing is a thing. It's huge in Canada. Adults of all skill levels can try their hand at axe throwing at any of our locations: Cranberry, Millvale, Monroeville and Mt. Lebanon. You and your friends, coworkers, wedding party, or knitting club get a lane and take turns throwing at a target.
Axe throwing is an individual sport, not a team sport. If you had a team in mind, you, your friends and/or colleagues should each sign up individually to take part in the league on the same night of the week. You'll all get to throw together but also with and against other league members. League members are welcome to bring beer/wine and any food to Lumberjaxes.
Lumberjaxes is currently looking to hire outgoing, energetic, and most importantly responsible axe throwing coaches! The coach responsibilities will be, but not limited to, facilitating a friendly and safe environment, teaching proper safety techniques, and ultimately making this one kick ass experience for the customer.
For obvious reasons, we can't let you throw axes in open-toed shoes or sandals. Aside from that, just wear something that's comfortable and gives you a good range of motion. Yup, before all events and sessions, our axe throwing experts will teach you some basic technique, as well as some important safety rules.

Organized a company event for axe throwing. Had a fabulous time. Way more exciting than I thought. Tournament style provide 2 1/2 hours of throwing time. Coaches were fantastic. Brought in our own pizza and used the well stocked beer. Next visit my company us going to give a try at curling. Will be visiting with my family/friends for a personal visit as well.

We were a large group of 16 friends. They have a 4 lanes curling tent so we were 4 in each lane. The stones are the same size and weight as in the Olympics (40lb) but you only slide the stones without the part were they use a broom to change the course of the stone. We played several games and did a tournament at the end.
It was fun. The instructors were very nice. They have a nice bar there. They also have a large part of axe throwing which I didn't try.

Took one of our friends here for a belated birthday night out. We had a blast! Brian did an excellent job with instruction. The other staff were friendly and the environment was conducive to a serious stress reliever. I could come here every week! The only issue is the entrance and parking needs more lighting.

So much fun!!! Organized a group of 10 for a birthday party, everyone that worked there was very helpful and accommodating for us to get stuff set up and to get everything in place for the surprise. Our coach Bob was very helpful and made the night much more fun. The one in Millvale has a full bar which was super convenient! Tons of fun, would recommend 👍
