The typical air conditioning system is a split system, with an outdoor condensing unit and an indoor air handler. Using electricity as its power source, the compressor (located inside the condensing unit) pumps refrigerant through the system to gather heat and moisture from indoors and remove it from the home to be expelled as warm air usually blowing out of the top of the outdoor condensing unit.
A heat pump works on the basic principle that the sun's heat is always in the air, even in cold air. A heat pump extracts this heat from the outside air and transfers it into the interior of the house by way of the house's internal duct work. This heat is circulated through the ducts by a high-powered fan after it passes over a condensing coil to either add or remove heat from the air.

The A/C mechanics were amazing! They removed my old whole unit. Replaced with new awesome quiet unit! They were very knowledgeable and alerted us with each steps. Replaced A/C foundation and duck fan foundation and heating coils. Replaced thermostat. Arrived early and finished by afternoon! Cleaned up property with care and professionalism! When we hired these folks to perform a pre-purchase home system check, they missed a problem that caused our coils to freeze at a cost of $1000. 35 days later the coils freeze again. The return call service fee is $130 (because they only guarantee repairs for 30 days) plus another $526 part. The service tech, Bikenson, preferred no conversation so responded to our questions with "Do you want to be my assistant?" and "You will not understand if you don't do this work". His final service call here he remained on a personal call 90% of the time, so our communication was limited. Our coils have frozen

After I logged a service request with my property manager on 9/25 at about 6pm, Brad called me and arranged to send someone to my house in 9/26. They came on time and fixed the electrical short causing my AC to stop working. Great service and highly recommended!!!

I’d like to preface this with that fact that we rent our home. So we did not contact AC Mechanix. Our AC stopped working in the middle of the night, in the middle of August, in Florida. The initial call went in Friday and someone was at our home Monday afternoon. The repair man that came was fine but we have been waiting for 5 days in this heat for a part to come in. I just want to know if this place has any sense of urgency…? We have 4 people and 2 pets living in the home and it just doesn’t seem like the folks over at AC Mechanix really care about their customers or the work they do. I

RDL has been very pleasant to work with. Very knowledgeable and efficient. Although he can not finish the work until compressor part, he provides good quality work and tried multiple ways to fix it. Hopefully we will have a/c compressor changed out soon.

My a/c was leaking so I knew there was a clog. I called and they had someone come out within a few hours. Great service and better speed. Thankfully it's nice and cool so not using the a/c wasn't an issue. However they got here quick enough that if it was hotter it would only be a slight inconvenience. The a/c tech was friendly, quick and wore protective gear. I would definitely recommend this place.

They installed a brand new indoor and out door Ac unit incorrectly 4 times. Causing my business to flood 3 different times. Causing mold, wall damage and lots of equipment damage. They are the absolute worst. Please use a different company, you'll thank me later

Property management contacted this business for service. Had a tech show up, not do any due diligence by checking the internal unit just because it was inconveniently placed. My AC stayed broken, who doesn't love Florida without AC? Ty for the prompt service, telling me what was wrong with the system and being so amazing with solving my problems! (This is abrasive sarcasm, nothing was done )

They were to come between 8-12 got 2 reminders the day before At 10am got text saying they were running late. I called several times saying I would prefer to reschedule, but was assured I was next on route. By 3 I left the house at 4:02 I got a text saying they were on their way! However it wasn't till an HOUR later 5:02 that their tech said they were at the house! No idea how their work is but they don't know how to tell time.

Tech was 3 hours late and showed up at the wrong house and was going to leave for the next service call because we didnt answer. Until I called back the office and said no one knocked on my door. The tech finally pulls up and says he was at the wrong address. Then says he has to go back because he forgot his tools at the other home. He proceeded to talk on the phone as he soldered my coil about him partying and drinking on the 4th of July. And he tracked mud all the way through my house without even noticing. Better yet the company set him to clean my coil when my condenser was the problem since

Not only did we buy a whole new system from them a while back, but, we continue to call them for service every year. It's been over five years since we got our new system and recently had some issues. Turns out the exit line was just severely blocked, they had to come out twice to blow it out!! They only charged me one basic service fee and he essentially checked everything. He easily could have charged me twice or even one heartier fee and been well within their right.
