I work predominantly on historic homes in the Atlanta area, although I also work on newer homes as well and mid-century homes. Pretty much, if you can live in it, I have probably worked on that type of home. I also specialize in restoring old house architectural antiques from lighting, mantels, heart of pine flooring, medicine cabinets, stair parts, tile, etc.

We began our renovation career buying and selling old houses. The houses that we bought were the victims of severe "deferred maintenance, " meaning that old windows were falling apart, lineoleum squares had been glued down on heart of pine floors, bathrooms and kitchen structural joists and beams had rotted through and through.

Kara was one of the worst people I've ever done business with, she was rude, spiteful and aggressive on several occasions; and often made up false reasons why I behaved a certain way which I had to spend a good deal of time correcting. For example, when I did not return a text message within a couple of hours, she would say that I was avoiding her or trying to put her off in some way, even though I had previously explained that I didn't have my personal cell phone in meetings and would not be able to respond to her quickly during business hours.

I was lucky enough to purchase the first home Laughing Sun Renovations ever did at 123 Howard Street. It was my dream home. The attention to detail in the restoration was impeccable. Laughing Sun renovates and restores by amplifying the original charm of the house which is what I love about them! In fact, they go out of their way to find those rare architectural gems which will add dimension to your house that you won't expect. All of this with a well-communicated and collaborative vision in the planning process!
