A brief description of the types of lenses and variety of frames available at Spex Vision Care in Fort Collins. Selecting your lenses and frames is a very personal choice. A wide variety of options are available that can be tailored to suit not only your medical needs but also your fashion preferences.
There are a number of reasons why you might prefer contact lenses to standard eyewear: a glasses-free look, hassle-free vision correction, wearing non-prescription sunwear and goggles, or the convenience of not having to worry about misplacing your glasses. If you have a high prescription or astigmatism, contact lenses may provide more enhanced vision correction than glasses.
Spex Vision Care in Fort Collins provides treatment, consultation and referrals for these common vision correction surgeries and procedures. Vision correction is a general term used to describe a variety of optometric techniques for correcting less-than-perfect vision. For your convenience, we have included a brief description of some of the most common vision correction procedures offered at Spex Vision Care in Fort Collins.

Our family has been well taken care of at Spex. Dr. Skrdla is personal and does a great job explaining things he has noticed in his exam. Our kids don't need glasses but he is thinking of their general eye health including allergies and blue light from screens! I have been given contact lens to trial and see if they help improve my vision. I like I have new options to try lenses before buying!

My husband was misdiagnosed with macular degeneration. This is extremely concerning . He went for a second opinion at the eye center and low and behold he has NO eye disease. Spex in our opinion is a dangerous place with false diagnosis to get one to purchase their eye supplements! I highly do Not recommend this place if you want the truth about your precious vision . Another thing is dr S knows very little about dye eye chronic problems . Save yourself grief and DO NOT waste time here !

I transitioned to contacts through Spex Optical. Previously thought I could not wear them due to astigmatism, and the thought of putting something in my eyes was daunting. During my eye exam with Dr. Skrdla it was suggested I consider contacts for my sports because I had difficulty wearing bifocal glasses with mountain biking and other sports. The… staff were very understanding and supportive of me learning to wear contacts. And after only one adjust to my trial contacts I have a perfect fit and correction. I appreciate the professional skill in finding my perfect correction, the encouragement

Just got great first time care from Dr. Skrdla and the team. I was having some serious eye pain that wasn't getting better and needed to make sure what was going on. They got me in right away, gave me great care and made sure I don't have to quit my job and go become a pirate due to an eye patch. I couldn't be happier with the experience! Thanks for supporting local cycling and YGR!

I am a new patient (just moved here) and just got my first set of glasses through Spex and they were fabulous! Outstanding communication and very friendly! And when my lenses came back not exactly right (my fault not theirs), they were quick to get me back in to recheck and get the correction made. My new glasses are perfect! I will be back next year for sunglasses.

We rated this business before & gave them 5 stars. However, we have since come to regret this. Our first few visits were delightful. But as with many relationships, business or otherwise, you learn their true nature in the midst of difficulties. We ordered contacts & were told they would arrive MANY days before they actually did come in. My son had migraines in the meantime. They dropped the ball & gave no apologies or explanation. We thought it may be an isolated incident & continued as a patient there. Then last week we ordered contacts & were told they would arrive in 2-3 days. 6 days later

VERY disappointed that after being a patient here for several years (my entire family) that they were unwilling to help me submit a claim to my insurance. It was my mistake, and my insurance company told me the only way to fix it was with the help of the dr. Well, they decided not to help. Looking for a new eye doctor. :/
