Services
We want your child to have strong and healthy teeth; we approach dentistry holistically by providing first-rate treatments and encouraging kids to have great habits. We teach children the right way to floss and brush their teeth to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. Our philosophy is to instill a healthy lifestyle and make sure kids' teeth and gums are healthy.
KidzSmile Dentistry specializes in special needs and medically challenged children's dentistry. In addition, we have privileges at Floyd Memorial Hospital when needed. These young ones require a different approach, and our team is ready to make their experience fun and comfortable, no matter what the procedure they need.
In order to prevent dental problems, your child should see a pediatric dentist when the first tooth appears or no later than his or her first birthday. Make sure your child has a balanced diet, including one serving each of: fruits and vegetables, breads and cereals, milk and dairy products, and meat, fish and eggs.
Great Dental office! My daughter loved getting her teeth cleaned, the assistant was gentle and the dentist was very patient and explained everything. My 8 yr old loved her! The ladies at the front were quick and efficient. We have been going here for years and the staff is as amazing with the kids today as they were on the very first visit when they were toddlers.
Your child's first dental visit and experience will shape the way they view visits to the dentist in the future. We want your child to have a comfortable and enjoyable first day to make them feel at home whenever they visit us for dental health maintenance or any other form of treatment. Our friendly staff and dentist will see to it that your child has a pleasant experience no matter what procedure they undergo.

My four child have been patients of Dr. Shuster's for years. They started when they were just babies. My children have had all types of treatment done even being sedated in the office. At first it was scary letting them go back by themselves but I trusted they were the experts in handling my children's dental care. My son who will be going to college this fall still wants to come see Dr. Shuster for care. The staff and doctor have always been very nice and always answered any questions I or my children have had. I think they are doing an awesome job.

Not worthy of one star. We just moved here from TN a month ago, my daughter's filling on her baby tooth fell out 2 wks ago. Made appt to have filling replaced . Arrived at set appt time, was informed by lady at desk they had checked our insurance and we could get cleaning performed as well today. Filled out paperwork, tech comes to get my daughter and informs me that parents aren't allowed back with child. I should have seen that red flag, other parents waiting I think this is normal but I don't like it. My daughter comes out says they cleaned her teeth but didn't fill the cavity we made appt for

We just left our first dentist visit for my 23 month old son. It was the WORSE experience ever. I typically do not write reviews but I have to express this experience:
1. We waited for over 1 hour & 15 min to even get into to our scheduled appointment exam room including arriving 25 minutes early to complete paperwork.
2. When we finally got into the treatment room with Dr. Mickey and the hygienist, my son was walking around the room, figuring out his surrounding in a new environment. He was told by the dentist to not touch anything because he would contaminate items. When we addressed these
