Curtis Garage & Wrecker Service was started in 1968 by Emezire (Bud) and Wilma Curtis to assist travelers and law enforcement with towing and repair needs as Interstate 70 was being built to the west of Indianapolis. They worked diligently to assist people locally and those traveling along the new interstate for many years.

Heavy hauling is an important part of our road service business. Not only do we haul our own equipment to recovery sites but we haul for hire nearly every day. Because load sizes and values vary tremendously we have the cargo insurance and liability insurance to cover any load that we haul, not to mention that we are permitted annually for oversize and overweight loads as well.

We were on I-70 and had a flat tire and couldn't get the tire to come off. We called several garages and no one wanted to help, too far for them. Then I got ahold of Curtis garage and he didn't hesitate to help, but as he was on his way a trucker stopped and removed the tire. I am still very grateful that he attempted to come and help and would have. Thank you Curtis garage.

They go above and beyond. Sam was professional, courteous and helpful. I was stranded along the side of Interstate 70 with a flat tire after hitting a pothole in the road. He made sure I got out of my car safely and into the wrecker, loaded my car and got us off the interstate. He called three places to find me a new tire and took me to that town so I could get it put on. He was friendly and put me at ease and made the situation not seem as bad. I definitely recommend them! Thank you!

Our vehicle broke down on Hwy 40 on Friday evening. In an unfamiliar area, we Googled towing services & Curtis Garage came to the rescue. This business was great! The tow truck came quickly. The driver was professional. He and the other mechanic at the garage could not have been nicer or more helpful. They had our truck repaired by 10:45 the next morning at a reasonable cost. Happy we made a good choice. Thanks guys!

So I lost power on my SUV goin down I-70. I was lucky enough to limp down the exit to the truck stop next door. I took a chance and asked the guys at the shop what it would cost to diagnose my motor. They said they were really busy but still sent a guy with me to examine the issue. We concluded it was novicely fixable and suggested I do the work for next to nothing. I asked what I owed and he said no charge. NICE OFFICE STAFF, KNOWLEDGEABLE CREW, SUPER NICE PLACE!!!

On my way home from Terre Haute, a warning light came on. Just great...only 200 miles left to go!!! Called husband and he said it was probably the tire pressure and to pull off and see if someone can help me....RIGHT. I’ve only driven this road 1000+ times over the last 45 years and knew of no such place. Out of NOWHERE on I-70...this sign… appeared!!! It was a garage so I said...ok, why not? The crew was busy working on diesel trucks and equipment. I explained my predicament and within 10 minutes my problem was solved. Due to their kindness, I was back on the road and in good shape
