Services
The most common central cooling system is a split system, which includes an outdoor cabinet containing a condenser coil and compressor, and an indoor evaporator coil, usually installed in conjunction with your furnace or air handler. The compressor pumps a chemical called refrigerant through the system.
Dont fall for the to good to be true service call because it just may end up costing you more. When considering a HVAC contractor, ask to see documentation that they carry general liability insurance to protect your property as well as workers compensation insurance on their employees. The State of GA does not require employers to carry workers compensation insurance.
Maintain Your System - You can ensure your system operates at peak performance by scheduling semi-annual maintenance checks. Zoning - A zoning system can drastically lower your heating and cooling costs. With zoning, you no longer have to pay to heat or cool areas of your home that are rarely used.
Central heating systems have a primary heating appliance, such as a furnace, typically located in your basement or attic. All furnaces consist of four main components: 1) burners that deliver and burn fuel, 2) heat exchangers, 3) a blower and 4) a flue that acts as an exhaust for gaseous by-products.
Heat pumps are used for either the heating or cooling of your home by transferring heat between the indoors and the outdoors. Because heat pump systems transfer heat rather than generating it, they are more energy efficient. In the warmer months, the heat pump acts like an air conditioner, removing heat from the air inside your home and transferring it outside.

This place is awful. I live in a new home and my hvac system was not working. On a holiday at 32 degrees, they told me they didn't know what was wrong and that a tech couldn't come out for 2 days. They were ready to be on vacation and didn't care about my issue. The tech was awesome, but he couldn't fix the problem. The supervisor and the office were awful. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! I'm so pissed at my warranty company and this company. Happy freezing Thanksgiving to me and my family. I'm going to report them to the BBB.

This was the company that the builder used for our new construction home. We have had issues with the unit from the start. They never answer the phone. This address that they have on here isn’t even a valid address. I had to drive around to like 3 different locations until I was finally able to find the correct address. They are always giving the run a rounds as to why the a/c isn’t working. Last thing they told us was it wasn’t any problem with the a/c unit but an electrical issue. We had professional electricians come out and they stated it was the whole a/c unit that needed to be changed

This company is awful. I had a gas leak from faulty equipment that they installed. They were supposed to come out between 1-6pm. They never came and they never called. I had no gas service, no hot water to bathe for 48hrs. I’m a physician. Imagine doing my job & having to bathe in cold water?!? They should be ashamed & out of business. As I write this review, the problem is still not resolved. THEY ARE A SCAM!!!!!!!

Steer clear of this fly-by-night outfit. They installed 2 units on my new home in 19. 8 months later the downstairs was not cooling at all. They were called in to remedy the situation. They found it was completely out of refrigerant. It was under warranty at the time but instead of searching for the leak they kicked the can down the road and decided to just throw in 8 lbs of Freon and leave. Next June, downstairs didn't work again. They were called back out to inspect only to find it was out of refrigerant again. Then they tell me it's out of warranty and that they wouldnt honor builders

I have called the AC Warranty company 4 times today and supposedly there were to send someone out within 1hour and I would receive a call back within 1 hour. I've been calling for over 3 hours while our house is extremely hot. This is a new house and I do not understand why the AC is not working properly and we have not been in the house for at least a year yet. My house has been hot for 3 days and there is no reason to have no one call me back.

The RGP Heating and Air company had not returned any of my calls and I saw they have terrible ratings online. I am requesting that someone call me

Please use anyone other than this company. My husband and I purchased a new build and are forced to use them for warranty purposes. We have been having issues with our system since day one.
We closed in November and least just say we are on our 10th plus service call. The lack of ability resolve an issue that they specialize in is beyond me.
At this point we have been without AC in a brand new for 5 days now. They sent several people out but still nothing. Would not recommend if my life depended on it

Same as other reviewer. Our builder hired these guys. How can a brand new unit stop working? It never should. They came to “fix” it last year and this year, surprise, it doesn’t work. And you will have to pay for them to come out even if they didn’t fix it to begin with. They diagnosed our AC unit wrong on purpose. We declined the second “fix” and… called our friend who has been doing this for a living for years. He showed us what they were going to over charge by a few hundred dollars on a part that wasn’t broken so they could charge to come out

The company was responsive when I called them to fix an issue with my cooling system. Setting up my appointment was easy (although I had to call a few times to get through) and the technician arrived in a timely manner. He was easily able to diagnosis the issue and was professional in completing the repair. Luckily, I was under warranty so I have no complaints this time about cost or charges, but I can speak to the overall quality of professionalism I encountered with the company.

If I can give this company a -0 I would. My builder used this company forcing me to go through them for my service because supposedly I was under warranty with them. However, for every call I have mad to them I have been charged a fee for a technician to come out. On top of that every call has been regarding the SAME EXACT ISSUE. My lower level unit is not operating but my upper level is. I was told upon the last visit (which was their 3rd visit for the same issue) that it was the transformer in which I had replaced in December. Now they came out 2 days ago and the tech tried to state that it was

New home initially had some issues with heating and air among other things as can be expected. However Mark and Justin from RGP came out and immediately accurately analyzed and remedied the air flow issue and additionally tided up the furnace room. Both gentlemen were very personable and demonstrated their deep knowledge of how the furnace should properly operate.

Emergency hotline is a JOKE. Technician who returned our call 2.5 hours later said he didn’t even know what constituted an emergency, he was just returning calls since everyone was already gone for the day. We would have to wait for someone to call us back in the morning to schedule an appointment. This, after multiple technician visits to our home to diagnose ongoing issues, blame thrown all around and still no actual solution for the problems.

RGP never installed the heat strip for one of my units & no longer services my area--so the unit generates no heat . They refuse to even send me the part to have someone else install it! So I must pay another company $424 to finish a job they'd already been paid to do.

It was so nice to have an air conditioner service person show up when they said, have the right parts in the truck, and leave with all work completed! Thank you RGP for the quick response and great service, again!

Brand new unit in a brand new house installed by RGP.
Where to start?!
*Freon lines vibrating loudly inside walls.
*Static pressure issues
*No static bypass, to alleviate the above problem
*9 vents upstairs, 6 downstairs.
*Not balanced properly (you have to put your hand an inch from the downstairs vents to feel the air. Causes the downstairs to run for very long times to cool the area.
*Freon levels not charged to proper levels.
*Excessive noise from return and supply vents due to system being unbalanced, and static pressure being outside of the manufacturer specs.
*Freon lines not ran/installed
