The success of Springhill Medical Center can be traced back to its early beginnings in 1975 when the hospital was founded at the convenient location of I-65 and Dauphin Street. In the years since then, the hospital has more than quadrupled in size and has made sound development decisions, propelling the organization as a major competitor among the local healthcare providers.
Springhill Medical Center is the only tax-paying hospital in the Mobile Alabama area. The hospital supports the community with over five million dollars in tax revenues annually, in addition to thousands of dollars in contributions each year to support numerous social programs in the area. All hospital profits go directly into new and upgraded services for patients.

Actually I would not like to give this hospital a star at all. I recently had surgery and the way I was treated in the PACU was not only embarrassing but it was one of the worse experiences I ever had dealing with anyone in the healthcare system. I cried out for help to be repositioned and the nurse sat at the foot of my bed and completely ignored me… I will not go into full details about my experience but as I read the reviews it seems this is typical behavior of this hospital. I am wondering if JACCO is aware of the way patients are treated and i wondering when was their last JACCO visit. Even

Went to hospital by ambulance, was passing out/seizure episodes. Doctors did a X-ray, covid test, urine/blood test. And wouldn’t do anything else to help me or find out what was wrong with me. I was literally vomiting when they were trying to discharge me. My husband wouldn’t let them discharge me as I am laying there ill and needed help and they wanted to call the security guards on him. Sorry excuse for a hospital and no bedside manner whatsoever.

I just gave birth here, and unfortunately, it was a difficult delivery, and I ended up needing an unplanned c-section. Nurse Kendal was taking care of me for the majority of my labor and all the hardest parts, and did a phenomenal job. She was very reassuring and did a great job of making me feel comfortable during a stressful time when I was dealing with contractions and epidurals wearing off and trying to push to no avail for two hours. Nurse Grace took care of me during my first night of recovery and was also there helping me when I was trying to push, and was very encouraging and accommodating

It's unfortunate that I have to give it a one star... I used to think very very highly of this hospital. Recently my wife was admitted, I was not allowed to see her, she had no patient advocate, and it was non covid related. With house bill 521 they would still allow me to go up and see her or be her advocate.
She was on pain medicine and could not communicate with the doctors at the time. As a result they started treating something totally unrelated and gave her medication she had allergic reaction to. I asked to speak to the Dr, no return call after two requests.I asked to speak administration

If I could give ZERO I would! Dr. Ryan Miller has no bed side manner, clearly does not have the capability to be compassionate and I believe is in the wrong field. You shouldn't work in an emergency room if you aren't capable of assisting patients in their time of need. Also with the little test requested you didn't even give any results and then ultimately treated without having an adequate diagnosis. Doctor's are not above anyone and Mr. Miller is definitely one that believes he is.

Emergency Response did a phenomenal job on my last visit, May 17, 2021. I would love to give an extra shout out to RN Mary Payne Rhodes for drawing my blood. That nurse needs a raise and a praise report for all of her extra hard work. Normally, it takes a half hour to am hour long for someone to find my veins and pick me for a blood test (ever since I was a child.. one time a nurse had to draw blood out of a popping vein on my foot) but Mary sure exceeded my expectations. She did it in 2-5 minutes!! All the staff are friendly. I did have a problem with billing since the doctor saw me for only 30

I was transported to SpringhillHospital by ambulance because I lost consciousness. I arrived at the ER with severe abdominal pain, chest pain and nausea. The ER Doctor ran a few test. Provided some fluids and nausea medication.I was discharged. I was told that I had alcohol in my system and that was the issue. I knew something was wrong and it was not alcohol. I did not leave the ER waiting room. My body was telling me something was wrong. I asked to please be seen again. They tested my blood, said I was better than the fist time. They discharged me. Again I was too scared to leave the ER. Again
